My Inferno

That I would hang myself in the sky outside your window

and slowly reach my hand out to the sun,

claiming its fire as my own.

there is one more small piece of joy.

I am all I have

No woman is an island

I can hardly speak but I will try.
My brain falls silent, still;
It is the dying of the day
A ferment of tenses
Leads me up cul de sacs.
Where my vision lingers
On a shimmerin

My mood mirrors
The sparkling frost,
Loss upon loss.

I've gone now
Suspicious of the silence within,
Outside all is wild,
Clouds scud the colour of blood.

I was despondent in the house,

In the house where the light was dim.

Phantoms crept within the house,

Woeful tunes played in the house,

Bowls - it is a wonderful game.
And each time we play it is never the same.
To reach the jack - it is the mission,
But first we must put it in position.

Pick up your bowl and take your stance,
Then right ahead one must now glance.
Round in an arc your bowl should go,
Something of which we all must know.

But in certain moments when times get dire,
One may even feel the need to fire.

Walking in darkness
your front door briefly lights up
in the heavy rain.

Ripping out the trees
lighting hit the forest hard
flooding the river

Sleeping in winter
the trees hiberate alone
awaiting for Spring.

My little dog always seems to have the last word

I was playing scrabble with a friend,

I hope the next few lines don't offend.

My little dog eat all the letters thought they were a treat,

For the next few days lots of messages he did excrete.

My little dog always seems to have the last word,

I keep picking up letters with every single turd.

Then and Now

Once when I was a boy

My brothers and I found a bundle of abandoned puppies

My parents to my satisfaction said I could keep one to call my own

I was never really good at naming things

so I referred to my dog as Yo

It takes some smarts in a animal to survive the mountains

I suppose I have always walked a line between a guiding parent with potential danger close at hand

no one suffers
and lives happily here
it allows

to avail an opportunity

it may have hurdles
to be faced by the people
it may suit some individuals
it can't be regarded as casual
life may look different from each angle

Your Turn

Once upon a time

There wasn't a day more satisfactory than today,
The eyes of the mirror were not a victim's eyes.
And a smile could catapult over every jagged ridge.

Stars given a name didn't squander the night,
Steep mountain roads called for flying feet,
and lifted arms celebrated both sun and rain.

The alarm clock was more salutary than dull sleep,
A shaka brah heart surfed the e...

Lost Love

To hold you in my arms one last time

To feel your touch even though I knew you weren’t really mine

To feel your lips touch mine and again feel your love

Hoping, dreaming, wishing I could bring you back

Hoping, dreaming, wishing to fix this shattered heart

But a touch, a kiss, my love wasn’t enough

You’re not coming back

You’ve chosen

And it’s clear now

Your love is ...

Words, eyes and vision

How peaceful the relationship would be,

if words and intentions are aligned,

no deception just version of soul purifed.

Paradise the earth would be,

if eyes could see heart and ears could hear unspoken words,

distinguishing the cheese on trap or fruit for charity.

This beautiful world,

free from chaos of imposter or saints,

innocent, pious and easily understood.

One Year, Daddy

My dearest Daddy,

It's already been an entire year since the Angels up above wrapped you in their wings and reserved a first class ticket to have God himself share your life story with everyone and have you reunite with your parents. It feels like you were just here yesterday...but that was so many yesterdays ago...

I am devastated
I am in disbelief
I am broken
I am scarred for life

The connection between our gaze was that of a stone bridge.

My soul on one end and hers at another.
There, our journey began to the middle

Why do i keep this picture in my wallet
stupid but I cant throw it
super duper party
cant manage to think at all
let my body laugh without even a thought
drunk like trash
losing youth so fast
feeling free as hell
could jump from that high
hand grabbing my wrist
oh crap I know who it is
anxiety found me
I need a few more sip

My body is just cells to you

Torment is

Our bodies together
Soft skin on soft skin
Entangled tightly
Your breath heavy on my neck
A kiss goodnight on my back
My lips
start to relax
Warmth begins between my hips
Mind racing
My lips
start to drip
My desire
A scented aroma
Fantasies begin to play
Body begging to be played

A silent moan

A loud resentment

Don't let it feel good, ...

Today is the Tomorrow You created Yesterday

We are who we are Today because we were who we were Yesterday. We do what we do Today because we did what we did Yesterday. We will become who we become Tomorrow because of who we are Today. So, if you get stuck in who you were Yesterday, instead of Living who you are Today, then who you become Tomorrow, will be shaped more by who you were Yesterday, than who you are Today. Just to ...

A Tempting Dawn

A  new year is dawning.
With a moan as an escort
Tempting a conversation
through the front door.

Fingers run down the mistletoe.
Moving in quick succession
To finish what started with a seduction.

Invisible footprints
decorate the naked floors
motioning a pleasure unexplored

Mirrors shatter the illusion
of this lustful encounter,
on the day after Christmas.

Do We Loose Attraction From The One We Love?

Yesterday I was looking at my flaws in mirror.

I realised.

At times, I don't feel like talking to the person I say I love.

At times, I won't wish to spend time with him.

At times, I won't wish to look at his sparkling eyes.

I felt, I lost attraction.

I felt, maybe it was one another crush to which I gave the name of love.

Then I noticed that there are times when we won't like ...

Maybe it wasn’t worth it

Love is rare

Love was perfect

Days are long

Days spent searching

She sings her song

She prayed for certain

Truth be told

Truth was lacking

Today is different

Today was lonely

Tomorrow will be painful

Tomorrow is uncertain

I Wrote a Poem for You

I was told to write a poem for you

I understand why, it’s a lovely gift

Provided it’s any good

But you think they’re all good

So you will enjoy the poem I wrote for you

I’m not being arrogant, not at all

My poems aren’t good or lovely

They’re just words that barely connect

No rhyme, no reason, no theme.

I still don’t know if I’m trying

If anyone will think it’s good

New beginnings

There is always apprehension and a little bit of tension

What lies in store on a shore is at the moment unsure

There is a shift and a move and all relations anew

There is leaving behind familiar grounds and those used to sounds

As we move in life towards new beginnings there never will be old endings

As the old will still remain entrenched as sweet memories indelible

And as ...

Red and Green

Green indents,
Pattered soil,
A make believe undone for me.

The trampling boots,
Of boys in greens,
Another to ride you down upon.

Sparkling tea,
Loose leaf,
Caramel born from winter.

A slay red ridden,
To my door,
Without forever mourn.

And in a steep,
Gleam between,
My heart does truly sink.

Because I know,
Im damned to be,
No worth between my bracelet beads.

So, the gods have deemed it necessary that we live another year,

The over lords overall plan for us is quite unclear,

Will the problems of the lost, last year graciously disappear?

Whilst some desire sobriety, others drown in beer.

Unified behind a lie we lay back down to sleep,

Thoughts within our minds we never find the time to speak,

Second choice

More than what it was like to be the girl who was the second choice-

I often wonder what it's like to be the mother of the girl who was second choice

Surely she doesn't even know or she would have never supported the relationship in the first place

Or perhaps she does and in her yearning for her daughter to be "protected" by the boy she was talked into thinking was a man, she ...
