Storytelling: the art

There're many many things I'd like to say

Lots of pages of history I'd like to relate

Some stories unheard and heroes unpraised

From places far and also those that were near

Plot twist and exciting climax scenes to narrate

I'm sure these words will make your hair stand at ends

Therefore I'll wait and wait for the twilight to give way

Dawn is the perfect time when things would sound great

The eeriness of darkness and silence will pass away

During sunshine and light in the sky high above

Fear and horror can easily be melt and remove

Only Bravehearts could listen to the very odds

Without losing interest and feeling the mystery

Wars and battles, lost and won, one by one

Storyteller sits by the side of the fire excited

Brimming with equal hopes the listeners sat

Enthused with ever growing motivation and inspiration

The unsung heroes left an indelible mark

For generation to come these words would do a round

Cultures to survive and thrive based on these Narratives

A verbal play of words which many would learn and pass on

Each poem in itself
has a story to unfold
fireside warmth is felt
by each word understood.
