If soul mates do exist,

They are not just simply found.

They are beautifully grown from the ground.

 

They are grown as strong as an oak tree

But equally as fragile as a dandelion blossum.

 

If soul mates do exist,

Then the other will always persist.

For not one person is whole without another.

 

If soul mates do exist,

They are not easy,

They are not together like lobsters.

They have depths to them shut off that only the other halve can unlock.

 

If soul mates do exist,

They make the long nights all worth the fight they demanded.

 

If soul mates do exist,

I think I have found mine.
