On Thin Ice
A touch of snow and ice
as wintry weather takes hold
The pond is an ice rink
frozen over from the cold
Ducks walk instead of swim
to get to the other side
Webbed feet come in handy
to help stop the slip and slide
Did the White Witch of Narnia
come to visit overnight
To turn this local landscape
into a wonderland delight
