Costing more than a gallon of coffee

Whatever happened to the penny chew?

We used to share between me and you?

A kiss or two on the back row

Would give our cheeks a rosy glow

But now before we even get in

We’ve nothing left, bereft and skint!

I Killed Myself Yesterday

entry picture

Last Friday I decided to kill myself

I thought - what's the point?

We're not happy

We're always arguing

I'm fed up feeling miserable all the time

Its not going to get any better

so I might as well end it all

But it's got to be done properly

so yesterday I took a load of pills

slit my wrists then hung myself

So that was it, I was brown bread

But then I tho...

Sorry for the length, but I wrote this after something that happened to one of my students a few days ago. It's the first thing I've written in a long time that is probably a song.

Mortality

Last night a shadow came to me.
Linked arms and took me on a journey.
It took me to places I didn't want to go.
It whispered things I didn't want to know.

A soft pillow brushing my arm.
Its smothering presence had me alarmed.
Shadow why do you want me?
Are there secrets you want me to see?

We walk side by side.
There is nowhere I can hide.
I shake my arm.
Try to brush...

Seeing Past the Misty Fog (Poem)

As I pull through in the misty fog,

Everywhere is blurry

But the forefront.

I put my backpack on my back,

I open it,

Let the trash drop.

One by one

The trash drops,

As I steadily gaze at the forefront,

Fully immersed on this present moment,

To bring me all I love and need,

Fully immersed on this present moment,

To unfold my path and destiny.
