What's all this about rhyming?

What's all this about rhyming

I'm new to this amazing  site so I want to put things right.
What's all this I hear about rhyming?
I didn't come on here to promote my book or the bravery it took. I did it to write some history instead of it being a mystery. Of course we all love to have our work appreciated no one wants to be berated we all want to be A rated.
I am no ordinary granny. No ordinary or woman.
You might find me putting up a shelf doing a bit of plumbing. Maybe upholstering....Never knitting. Creativity bursts forth and has to be addressed knitting, that would take me a couple of weeks at best.
It's not about patting each other on the back blow that. It's about appreciating each other's work. Valuing the gifts we each have.
Now I'm a rhymer, I can't help that. I can't formulate my poems I tweak them that's true. As I am sure others do. I can appreciate others verse or prose or haiku however you pronounce that, but in return take the time and do not dismiss my rhyme.
Love it or hate it rhyme is here to stay it can express emotion I defy anybody to read some of the beautiful rhymes I have read on this blog and deny it. Would you even try it?
I have animals dogs donkeys chickens. I used to think I would enter to them into competitions but when I visited the competitions they were always full of judges doubters self tautas. Experts every one. Don't be that one..
It takes courage to put our work out there. This platform is for everyone there are only so many words and so many forms in which they can be done.
My children and grandchildren may cry "Oh no not another mother!!" Ears covered and then uncovered slowly to listen again. They appreciate all the beauty words can create. Not only mine, but plenty of others from time to time.
Just because they rhyme doesn't mean they don't deserve your time.
The trouble is I think in rhyme and that consumes my time especially when I tweak my internal voice.  I certainly don't do it by choice.
I am sure I could formulate something that was cool. In my eyes that would only make me a fool

What is the point in writing day after day if you're only going to lock those words away.It may not be appreciated by everyone but it's enough if it's appreciated by even one.
As I read your poetry it may not all be for me. I gave you my time give others yours or what is the point?
I worry no one will buy my book or realise the effort it took. That no one may like my poems but as my son said to me.
" Mum it's your legacy."
Ta ta for now after all that I need a cup of tea..

I agree with Big Sal that writing rhymes is easy and that anyone can write in rhyming meter.

We both agree with the same idea that (making them make sense BS) and (writing good rhyme DM) is the hard part.

Like I wrote in the article: writing rhymes is easy, it's making them make sense that's the hard part. Anybody can write in rhyming meter, but to do so without worry and to excel at it like you do Taylor - that is the true gift to behold. I absolutely love how more and more rhyming poets are coming out of the woodwork as it makes the words sound a lot less like prose and a lot more like actual poetry to me. Subjective opinion of course, but I like your work, and any time you wish to post more, I will be eagerly waiting to read them.? You do have real talent in relinquishing emotion through the time-honored art of poetry.?

Writing good rhyme is not easy
It's more than just Jack add a Jill
You've got to pick words that are clever
And intertwine them all with great skill

Now this doesn't happen, like snap-wise
A rhyme just churned out on the spot
I haven't got time to go further
So you'll just have to take what I've got

ribbit...ribbit...
