When a Barb Becomes an Insult to Intelligence

 

Preamble

I have based this on journal article in the paper. I can't claim credit for her choice of words. Only for putting it into verse.

 

An insult delivered perfectly is so glorious

Puncturing pomposity and skewering idiocy

It should have a laser-like ability

To highlight and contrast stupidity

 

When billionaire Musk called the Thai

Cave rescuer hero a 'pedo'

It only showed Musk as a vacuous

Arseclown with an over-sized ego

 

No achievements or any amount of money

Gave Musk the right to go unleash

This demented tirade on a hero

Who risked his life these boys to reach

 

His insult was a flaming fail trifecta

Neither witty, and not even fun

It failed to touch any sort of truth

So on all counts, nothing was won

 

A good insult must be smart, and illuminating

Well-directed and not sent off-course

The Scots are well-trained in this area

And can braid out an insult full force

 

When Trump did mistakenly say

That Scotland had voted to leave

The EU, the printable responses were:

 

“You mangled apricot hell-beast”

“You weapons-grade plum”

“You bloviating fleshbag”

 

Other insults were really quite clever

Playing with words, painting the truth

They attacked someone powerful, but consistant

(Consistant, consistantly wrong...)

 

“Yaw maw was an immigrant, ya tangerine roaster”

“Super-callous fragile-edged lying fascist baw bag”

 

“All in all , you're just another prick with no wall”
