TIME SLIPS AWAY

Funny - but not ha-ha - how time slips away,

Dismissing each second, each hour, each day.

All we can do is make sure we play

The game life allows

For as long as we stay.

Thank you, one and all, for the comments and the "likes".
I kept it brief to match the sensation that time itself
can so often appear so.

This reminds me of some verse I wrote a while ago

Gotta get it out
Time's running out
All the things I want to say
Gotta get it out

Gotta get it out
Time's running out
Emotions churning round inside
Gotta get it out

This poem is short by your usual standards Mark but incredibly effective. I would almost say it was quite wistful.
Nice one

There's no present Mark...only past and future.
