Father

i guess i will never understand. what it’s like to be a father. and what it’s like to completely neglect your daughter.

she’s cried bloody tears for you. she has begged and humiliated herself for your attention, love, and compassion. but you don’t get it. it doesn’t affect you. you live in a different city. you have a family of your own now. you never learned to balance your first {love} born with your second family. and for that, you will never know pain you have caused her.

she is blue. she is hurt. she just wants to fill that hole in her heart of what a great and present dad would be like.

Living in another city with another family is an assault on the psyche of any well-meaning child of an absent father. Excellent emotion.

A sad indictment of the absent fathers who seem to reject and deny children. An all too common theme these days. Heartfelt write.

A sad sentiment but on the positive side, whomever this 'daughter' is, I'm quite sure she will someday be a wonderful, loving and attentive mother! Thank you❤
