Previous skins
Five years ago flew by
Now, already remote
The rolling of the years
They’re already afloat
Your past self
Already a ghost
When you stand still
You begin to grieve your previous skins
Wonder why you had to forget and kill
Old personalities just to multiply new
So, you cling on to specific moments
Promise not to forget, you never will
But it is not uniqu...

Thank You Dad
Thank you Dad.
Thank you for your deep deep love.
For always making me feel so special and loved.
For teaching me to pass on that love to my own children.
I could not have felt more loved.
Thank you Dad.
Thank you for sharing with me your love of music and poetry.
For reading to me at bedtime and encouraging my love of books.
For instilling in me the love of words and ...

A Christmas Wish
A Christmas Wish
I wish I could go back for just a day
I wish there was a magic way
To twenty years or so ago.
To christmas past as white as snow.
To little kids in soft pyjamas,
Christmas specials of telly dramas.
Excitement sizzles in the air,
Gifts from loved ones soon to share.
Special baubles cover the tree,
Children waiting full of glee.
Santa’s m...

Curry Crisps
Curry Crisps
In 1981 and 82 at Littlemoor School I was in Junior 4
With the rest of the little wankers who were my classmates
I used to buy curry flavoured crisps for 10p at break time
I got them every day and even now miss them
They were the best crisps I ever tasted so yummy!
In a curry coloured packet oh what’s to come!
They were the highlight of my time in that school

The melodic grass
This music,
it makes me want to fall from the water
float in the sky,
stare at those lips
and kiss those green eyes,
drink from the clouds
and jump on the pond
to feel the stars
and gaze at the stones,
the rythms , the notes
melt my mind
ignite my visible voice
I'm not here nor there
maybe inside a void
floating on the blues
maybe its a d...

The Chapters I Remember
The book lies closed now
Gathering dust on a shelf
I look, but do not touch
That reminder of yourself
Better to imagine our life
Dream of better times
Envisage your lovely face
Hum your happy rhymes
Shady bluebells in spring
Red leaves in November
Bonfires and sparklers
The chapters I remember
More novella than novel
Not near enough pages
A ...

Days of Old
Days of Old
I remember the days of old,
when I crossed the fields alone.
When I ran the forests;
when I ran the trails,
in those days of youth,
in those days of sun.
I remember the color of life.
Everything seemed different.
There was a brightness to the light;
a shine, to everything.
I remember hopping those fences.
Going to those hidden places,
to see what I could see.
Those ...

Oblivion
Chasing wonders,
With a pen and a paper,
An empty sheet,
A piece of oblivion.
Staring blankly,
Eyes lost in the wilderness,
Once with a blink,
A whimper towards nothing.
Looking around,
Inside a four-cornered room,
Pastel purples,
In between the white curtains.
Oblivion,
Running strokes on the paper,
A pen and ink,
Breaking the bars of this cage.

In Mumbai
When the Sky is dark blue
And the Dawn becomes true
Just pray, same as I do
May my wish touches you
When sun rises in the Sky
And the birds ready to fly
Just remember what I say
We'll meet, surely, in Mumbai
When you stay lonely at night
And you wear your lovely white
Just be sure I'm always right
You're lovely dream on sight

Isabella
Either to swear, or not
The lies are a bad spot
Thanks, but thanks a lot
For your unfaithful effort
Isabella, remember, again
That love has fall in a drain
Not only nothing to gain
But also broke the brain
You believe all what you say
As a role of a daily play
Surely, will see some day
How much of love you deny

One Hundred Years
The war to end all wars ended exactly one hundred years ago
That war failed in its objective of making war and bloodletting obsolete
Just like the bow and arrow is now outdated war was meant to be
The renderings of battle and conflict consigned to the history books
When children ask their parents: WHAT WAS WAR?
The answer should have started thus: Well child...
But that scen...

Misplaced Memory
Minds mould cannot always bend to the will - Look!
A blur of surreal reality:
it’s vivid, a memory, a means
but travel through years
and maybe it’s a dream,
or the worst fear:
(for the youth with infantile stretch marks to hear)
Forgotten.
For the youths with flat ironed flesh and barely dogmarked ears,
what we all fear
is to forget.
Tell the boy with the newly ...

An Unlived Life
Wished for a life I’ve always imagined
Granted a life I’ve always wanted
Forgive me for the life which I’ve merely wasted
How can I remember, what can I remember
Remember a life I’ve never lived?
Thankful of the life which I’ve never been
Treasures that it held but I’ve never seen

Old & New
Shuttles soar with seemingly unprecendented motion.
The children's eyes gaze to the floor.
The ground is green and brown and yellow.
The world below cannot bellow.
Bellow whole-heartedly,
Sing and hum its' tune.
A melody, sweet melody.
A rotation for all of you.
Its' sweet chillness pressed against the nostrils,
Its' gentle warmth against the skin.
Allow the gaze of the star above,

END OF THE LINE
The heat of a sultry summers day
and the news wasn’t good,
you were going away.
Vow’s made by the lovers brook
are just trickling memories
of a love that you took.
A heart that once was full of life
is now but an empty shell
on the edge of a knife.
A vignette, closing in on a world,
as into the deep dark abyss
my mind was hurled.

Late at night
Late at night you lay
Face in pillow pointed away
Tears gleam and in the reflection they glare so unyeilding
It's so late so late at night
Is it almost day
The clock ticks and tocks but doesn't move
The hours tick by endless
It is late at night and all thoughts are awake
Laying in bed wondering what happened with fate
Remember the promises you made the promises layed to...

For Granddad
My Granddad passed away just before Christmas, this is for him.
Time whispers
Fleeting, it escapes us
You were a part of our world
A smile cemented
in childhood memories
You were a card playing companion
Intrigued by technology
And the new world it opened
I remember your CD player
You were proud as punch
As it was mounted on the wall
And opened with a wave
I remember Christmas ...

ENDLESS SUMMER
This is the endless summer of our youth
a time of music and of fun.
A time of blue skies and cold beer
in pubs in the country.
The sky is always free of clouds
and we fall in love, so heart achingly, to last forever.
Special times, trips to the coast.
It is a time for you and me.
Our friends are always there for us
when we see music festi...

OVER
OVER
Fallen warriors of all nations, now only bones and memories, I remember you.
In your hour of need you became great for a moment, doing your duty for a higher power, you, just mere men.
Being asked to do the unthinkable, to kill or be killed in the glaring cauldron of battle.
I will never know what it was like, to be good or bad, to be in battle. All ...

I LOVE YOU TODAY
Lucky it's me -
So glad it's you,
Enchantment in all of the things that we do,
My feelings are many, my words but a few,
Remember - I love you today.
Sometimes it's right -
Sometimes it's wrong,
Sometimes our tune is a now and then song,
But we know our refrain and we know when it's wrong,
Remember - I love you today.
Maybe we could -
May...
