Play in the Night

Play in the Night

                      --Michael Kwack

From two o’clock

When owls hoot

Up to four when cocks crow

Surely I will be kept awake,

To watch the secret play

Of the conscious and unconscious.

However, I will not see

The queer performance inside me

As a mere dream in the night.

If I long for better plays,

More will I wander dur...

Swift

Swift

No swift route to find your way

But be a swift and don’t delay

Let the currents raise you to reach the sky

Enjoy the view as you speed on by

You’ve found your lift to hit the heights

No frantic flaps to just get by

Just glide the air and cross the sky

And chance a glance as you pass us by

With faith to carry you across the big blue

You’re on your way, but there’...

Money

Money is the soul to reach a goal
It is the tool to play a role
But if you're miser or a poor
No way to live happy and cool

Luck is the wing across future
but work is the core of the creature
To be strong even no wing
Keep your effort to win the venture

Poor & rich, should also search
Money everywhere, we must fetch
the only lazy .. also crazy
Forever, no goa...

Isabella

Either to swear, or not
The lies are a bad spot
Thanks, but thanks a lot
For your unfaithful effort

Isabella, remember, again
That love has fall in a drain
Not only nothing to gain
But also broke the brain

You believe all what you say
As a role of a daily play
Surely, will see some day
How much of love you deny

The purple play

The play has just ended,
the curtain dropped
and the applause ceased.
One after the other we get
out of the blue theatre
of this crowded evening.
Everybody will remember
a different story to tell,
according to the seat
of their own
point of view.
And all of us will forget
something: a character,
a cue, the colour of a voice
or the notes in a gesture
we didn’t list...

Dollsplaychildhood

Sir Bruce Forsyth - Knight of the Realm

"Nice to see you

To see you nice".

Tip-tapping in waistcoats;

On the noble steed that is

Tess Daly.

Wielding his chin

Like a sabre,

And winning the nation's

Favour, "'Cos

That's the name of the game".

He's not a king,

Queen or Jack.

He's not even "higher

Or lower" - he's a knight!

Bruce Forsyth:

Knight of t...

Review: Undone at AXM in Manchester during Pride week

Undone gives an insight into the life of a gay guy living a hedonistic life on Canal Street; evenings fuelled by drink and drugs, ending in one-night stands. In the course of the story, he meets a guy new to the scene and relatively innocent.

As a gay man who has known the scene in Manchester, the first half of this play left me concerned that it was not going to show anything original. Don...
