I am still as foreign with my white skin. With my ‘funny sounding’ language,
in a country where people don’t understand the concept of knowing
different languages, where they know no other, except for their own.

Take me through your mind,
through all the things we need to face,
broken trails hard to find,
full of strangers
following their paths,
protecting their days.
Take me through your land
through the eyes of different people
scattered in the dark,
with no reason for a blame,
we are here just for a while,
our fears are all the same.
Take me through your beauty
carneval lights falling...

I think that I was born on the moon.
But it was never ‘written in the stars’,
I think that when I landed here on earth,
My voice was left behind
Because you can’t hear me.
When I talk,
You can’t hear me,
You look up to God for answers...
And you kiss me like your investigating the saliva for my heritage,
You go inside me like your searching for my identity,

These horror corridors, erratic,
Aged in oil, no known schematic,
Contorted without end or start,
Between the stars that ripped apart.
From out of darkness, darkness falls,
Creeps lattice floors and barren walls.
She, calculated, cruel and coarse;
No fear, no pity, care, remorse.
Past leaking pipes and daggered halls,
As bleating screens scream warning calls,
These rusted vents here warp and weep

Shattered, splinters of midnight
caressing and glancing off skin.
White, frozen beams of moonlight
that spotlight two strangers dancing.
Electric blue, cutting through mist
as a small, fair hand is held near –
then a blinding flash as two lovers kiss
and a slow, gentle, ebbing of fear.
Eyes drawing near, then cutting like lasers
