Rump Steak
she sells veg at
a market stall
red raw flesh is not her bag at all
shuddering at
a carcase hung
spring lambs slaughtered far too young
inconsistent,
she likes my meat
licks and sucks and chews it neat
often rare if
I worked away
then it hardly leaves her mouth all day
when it's overdone
meat makes her sore
but ointment brings her back ...

Save The Planet & Your Heart
Save The Planet & Your Heart
The seed drill not the fracking drill
Will serve our country best
The vegetables not the beasts we kill
Will be humanities test
Plague is never spread
from the fruits of the earth
when we pay such a heavy price
what is a carcass worth?
From cattle, bird or bat
There spreads human disease
Letting the gristle and the fat

Mooving Experience
Mooving Experience
I'm born to be bred and I'll be dead
Before I'm ready to go,
But you love me so I need to be
On the side of your plate I know.
No point pretending I know my ending
Whatever rocks your boat,
Electric shock or shot to the head
Then they will slit my throat.
I'm not over yet I hope this you get
I'll feel the pain from the knife,
Unlike you I can only say moo
So t...

Nothing is Vegan
Sounding smug he said
“Nothing is vegan” as if he
had stated a truth revealed by God.
And I remembered a story about a
Buddhist monk who started each day
with a prayer for all the living beings
he would kill or harm just by
existing on the Earth.
He said simply walking,
or even breathing,
would surely cause and
perpetuate suffering.
He could have said, I guess,
everything is har...

Bob War (Ode to Humane Farming)
I was an adult before I realized that barbed wire is not called Bob War, because that was how my grandfather pronounced it, and he happened to be the person who mentioned it to me most often, as he was the person who would always tell us kids that we needed to help repair the fence. Some concerned neighbour would call to tell him some of the cows were out, and he’d tell us to grab some Bob War and...

One Day!
One day I'll meet you In that place!!
I don't take drugs
I tried a couple times
So I can tell you what it feels like
I don't drink
Probably all the sips I've ever had
Could amount to 2 glasses of white wine and those sambuca shots when I was 17yrs old!
I love dancing
I don't seem to do it much
But I love moving
That I do everyday with Yoga
I love fashion and...

#themoonandi
The night is black.
The night is cold.
Oh how full shes appears tonight,
The moon.
she so shines bright.
All alone
she lights up the sky.
Some stars.
scattered near by.
Here i stand.
alone.
on this cold night.
To the stars and moon i look tonight.
The dark sea.
she splashes.
At my feet.
The silver sand.
she surrounds my toes.
Naked.
Oh yes.
I feel the breeze.
Golden ...

Hero
Once-upon-a-time, a barman worshipped the Sun.
Worked nights so didn’t see much of it
but in his head he’d got stories of
the Fire God supreme,
Blaze Lord,
vanquishing monsters who'd eat out your dreams.
He called the Sun ‘Hero’,
believed it had six pairs of arms,
giant wings of flame
and the handsomest nose in the galaxy.
Made moons blush
and g...
