WHY TO SEE SUN, AS GREY.

 

I LOVED YOU, SAME AS YOU ARE.
 
I BEG YOU KEEP YOUR PAST, AWAY.

I DON'T ASK, I DON'T CARE.
 
NOBODY IS BLAMELESS, EVERYDAY.

 

HEART IS OPEN, COME AND SHARE.
 
I NEED TO HEAR YOU, JUST SAY.
 
TOMORROW IS COMING, AS A SHINY DAY.

A Wound That Never Heals

 

It hurts me

when a you shaped hole

appears in the cosmos,

where there is

an absence of colour,

where the sound

scrapes along,

where the light

is masked by

dense grey mist.

 

That’s where

I miss you

the most.

 

When it rains

a greasy rain,

when the cracked bell

clangs,

when the planets

are misaligned.

What We Leave Behind (and what we take)

You told me I was worthy of more, but always convinced me to stay

 

But today

Today I leave our bedroom the way it was left this morning 

Cushions and pillows adorning the bed 

we chose for this life together 

A shared bathroom that won't be shared anymore 

Two shelves, one mostly empty 

A walk in wardrobe, filled once with fabric that clothed us

Only now it is bare with...
