Hi Do.RoThy

Not a comment on the poem itself which seems to be a kind of psychological allegory (?) but I'd suggest you look over this again as there's a typo in line five and in line ten.

I never really understood why some poets begin every new line with a capital letter (but some good ones still do). You've chosen this style and yet consistently written your I's everywhere else in lower case. Can't fathom the thinking behind this.

There are a few little words and repetitions that could be edited out but I do like 'turmoiled balancing'. Poems get better with multiple re-workings and the time to marinate a bit.

It's left me wondering why they are split? I like your expressions in these two pieces 'home cooked hope' clever.

Thalia in mauve is a sight to behold - her toes need some lacquer I beg to propose - though apart from all that looks a cool pussy cat with her cuticles clipped so she can't tear your back - in Merseyside they'd say 'didn't you know all that whack?' I know cos I lived there but aren't going back. I'd pay more than a penny to know all her thoughts - did she ever pay visits to Kensington Court? Perhaps you could get her a visa for Oz - I bet she writes poems on scrolls with a aplomb and when Greek boys see her they whistle and hum. I hope this suffices for poetry Don. Oh, and on a more serious note please say a prayer for the poor Koalas.

Hi Jon, thanks for your comment on Crooked Café. Great to hear from you. I completely agree, friendly customer service in a one of a kind place is a rare thing in the big cities these days and it's to be treasured. I feel like we've got to support those local businesses and keep them going...

If only so we can sit there with our notepads stealing lines ?

Thanks again, T.
