Gloomy Weather Gloomy weather leads to gloomy thoughts, Hard to snap out of the funk when it’s raining outside. A walk doesn’t clear your head, when instead you get soaking wet, Rather wrap up, ignore the thoughts and hide. How to change your mindset when you feel low? Winter is coming, the grey skies loom. Nothing makes you want to start a fresh, It’s hard to not feel the never-ending doom. The weather shouldn’t affect how I feel, but it does. It reminds me of what I have lost. A stark truth, an empty heart. Happiness seems to come at a cost. The sun does shine down occasionally, And in those moments together, we all smile. Together as one, as a team, I just wish they lasted a while. But should we smile when we know you are gone? The grey clouds start to roll back in. Never fully happy, not quite, not yet. It’s hard sometimes, but we have to begin.
