Behold The Whale

Pulled aboard

by rope and net

this creature from

the deepest depths

the killers wrong

to stop its song

behold the whale

before its gone

Leviathan

it is described

yet its gentleness

can't be denied

in grip of net

it sadly flails

pity its plight

behold the whale

As more and more

are killed or maimed

we question why

there is no blame

if oceans die

then we have failed

watch while you can

behold the whale

If captains and

their kind had sense

they'd praise not kill

such innocents

protect their kind

leave not impaled

with mercy then

behold the whale.

One of your best d.

I really enjoyed reading this.
what a message.

Some great rhymes here...

What inspired you to write this, May I ask?
