John,
Sensitively written. It nearly brought me to tears but sadly this little chap is but one of many. Not only were the onlookers wealthy westerners but people who have elected governments which do business with those who ally themselves with the evil culprits responsible for this. I am filled with a deep sense of sadness but also a mounting sense of burning anger.
Thank you for this poem and for putting it on your blog.

Robert,
I like this poem as it is blunt and speaks the truth. Its brevity adds gravity to its message. Well done.

Their are lessons to be learnt in every single situation we encounter.
If you find anything repeating itself. ' it's because the lesson was not learnt.
Humans have a built in radar that can protect us against anything that is negative. Its called our intuition.
It can prevent us from being exposed to danger and energy sucking vampires.
It will go of like a bomb when its in familiar negative situations. Pay close attention to it always.
It will help you relies who your true friends are.
Being self aware is a good starting point.
Your journey is as incredible as you wish it to be. ?

Their are many law's in the universe dear farag.
Manners are without a doubt compulsory.
The law of attraction state's that one must act in such a way in order to be treated in a way one would like.
In order to get the ball rolling alot faster is to never forget we are all the same, no matter the status. ?

Thank you mae, that comment is appreciated immensely.
I use that saying when I am not wanting drama..
It gets used quite alot in my neck of the woods. Haha..
Mainly when dealing with the kids and their arguments with pal's...
Sometimes they fight then 10 minutes later they are all best friend's again.

Dearest Creative Poetess .. Lysa .. I carefully read your outstanding comment related to "My Fault" .. you're one of the unique friends that consider and value the core of friendship. Disregarding my personal issue .. I fully agree with your judgement .. not to blame anybody .. not to blame myself even .. but to learn from the hard lesson. I'm grateful dear friend Lysa .. Thank you so much for your pure heart.

Hi Jason
Too facking right! ?
These days, I'm obliged to sit through nearly 2 hours of soaps every evening. The others I can cope with but truly I cannot stand Eastenders. They seem to do nothing but shout and scream and screech at each other constantly.
Sometimes I get away with putting on a Portillo Great Railway Journey. The Mammy likes his north Wales journey because towards the end I can be seen putting on a rucsac in Holyhead.

Dear Ray.....
Firstly I would like to say happy belated birthday. I hope you had a wonderful day filled with much love. May you be blessed always and may the year ahead be a spectacular one.
Thank you for your compliment and encouragement. I haven't been sharing my work for long online but what I have shared so far has come back with positive feedback and that encouragement makes all the days of my life worth it.
Inner change is definitely a miracle as it is not easy to change some ways that you have become accustomed to for so very long. Change is hard and it can be messy but it is one of the purest forms of growth.
May the wind of change be with you and may it blow softly within your life.
Keep well and take care of yourself

Hi Raven. I hope this finds you well. I applaud your posts and can see the truths in them. It is hard to offer any special comments that can improve or shine more light on them, but I am in that groove so often. It is my birthday today - 75 and have discovered some really things that I've let come in being ready and willing for them. Inner change can always happen, sometimes they seem like miracles to me.
Take care and continue on the path.

This poem echoes my thoughts on technology. I cannot compose poetry on a key board as it simply does not work for me. I find that handwritten work is more easily a connection between mind and hand, a more natural channel to express onself within one´s own frame. I remain a fountain pen and paper poet.
Thank you for this poem

Hi Alan. Fog can bring nostalgia - I remember the London smogs; I suppose every big town had them bad what with coal fires and factories. To be honest I like periphery but thanks for the thought.
Thanks Jennifer for recounting the dangers of fog - terrible to drive in and you brought the whole past to life !
Blimey, Dave . I think is the closest thing to what I imagined - it can be disconcerting, but I would be tempted out in cloak and dagger myself!
John, I'm sure that was quite upsetting and entirely possible in those days. I remember one musician who parked his car in the West End, got pissed and couldn't remember where it was. Had to get a lift back - no coda that I know to it.
Thanks Stu. So pleased you caught the real mood and it hit a spot with your own subtle mind.
Frances, Phil, Jon and Anya always grateful for your likes.

The words are heartfelt with much relevance to the art we enjoy.
But poetry can also allow a writer to put across a point of view
that might be contrary to his/her own...not a bad thing if it gets
people thinking. Its appeal is that it can be all things to all people
and serve a multitude of purposes in the process. Would we think
less of Masefield's "Sea Fever" if, for example, he was a devout landlubber? ?

Wowww... That has blew my mind more so than the Cambridge experiment..
How intriguing is that!!
If you have faith in angels po I have an excellent and very satisfying chant to call onto ark angel Micheal for the most amazing feeling of strength and protection that is felt in one's soul instantly.
As for mother nature ' each morning my bare feet touch the wooden floors before making any journey I call onto her and visualize my roots growing into the ground and herself covering me in the most purest shade of green in order to feel grounded and at ease ''' ready to tackle the day knowing I will not be knocked of balance ?
I can say whole heartedly it works wonders..

I find those who are born with the purest of heart's often get burned the most.
Capable of forgiveness and capable of still spreading the love regardless of the sufferings they experienced.
For each time they get burnt
The soul who holds the flame learns a lesson. Its threw the pain of the victim he will only grow from.
Hence our big heart's purpose.
Do not blame thy self for the actions of another.
Its never one's fault but yet a mere reflection of what kind of person you just dealt with.
Grow and grow and never stop growing and showing the world how kind and amazing you are ?

Delighted you are inspired by mother nature for a new book po...
She is the giver of all we have and the reason we feel connected to the earth.
I seen a university from Cambridge done a scientific experiment on two identical plants both planted in the same soil, both watered at the same time both in the same type of plant pot..
Their experiment was providing proof that how the plant grows depends on how its treated with word's...
One plant was told daily how unloved it was and how un pretty it looked and how bad it smelled etc...
While the other was told how beautiful it is and how nicely it smells and how amazing it is etc...
One plant grew so big, leafs the brightest green color and its sprouted out the most beautiful flower bud's.
The other plant however did not grow so well, its leafs wore a much darker sadder shade of green and no flower buds appeared.
Sad yet so true..
Go out to your garden ' dont stop at just a pose " but thank every flower and weed and bush and tree for being apart of your garden ?

And I totally agree with you about the expression of one's self in the art of writing. This sight is indeed full of many talented creative poet's. I doubt most do not see what the readers do, they may assume they are in fact not absolutely spectacular in their writing capabilities!! and I felt the need to emphasize the fact that they are. ??
Belief of one's self is not mastered by many and I believe it's highly important to remind soul's of their incredible gifts at any given opportunity.
You to po, your gift is remarkable ?

I can only repeat that this rather sad, graphic poem does indeed capture the barren and jaded spirit of our times. I loved the line about the men washed out at 40 nursing their pints and all those dubious enterprises that blossom then disappear. Great poem, there's a real authenticity here. Thanks David.
