Old School

It's harder now

to navigate

newfangled stuff

just aggravates

New tech is foreign

to my tastes

I still rebel

so out of date

Now robots rule

old school is fake

as changes swirl

predict my fate

As time goes by

I'm running late

yet for heaven's sake

make heaven wait.

Couldn't agree more! I write my stuff by hand, as I prefer it, but then have to put it on the computer as it is unreadable!
I like a real pen not a biro for the occasional letter or card too.

This poem echoes my thoughts on technology. I cannot compose poetry on a key board as it simply does not work for me. I find that handwritten work is more easily a connection between mind and hand, a more natural channel to express onself within one´s own frame. I remain a fountain pen and paper poet.

Thank you for this poem
