Roses aflame
I can feel fire in my veins
Red roses set aflame
Burning embers
Passionate rage
A suffocating feeling I can't escape
I feel like running away
To some faraway place
Where even the stars

The flower in my hand
I hold this flower
In my hand.
Yellow and perfect.
Like European star.
Like my heart
Is bound to this place.
My ear used to different languages,
My nose used to all these smells,

Speeding on through Somewhereshire
Unfamiliar livery
Adorns familiar trains
Myriad trees, multi-shaped
Silent window frames
Station signs unreadable
A metal phonetic blur
Speeding on through Somewhereshire
On a train to who knows where
TK Maxx and Staples
Retail worship shrines
Ears burst in tunnels
As beneath the soil we dive
Conservatories and patios
Buzzing power lines
Tearing on th...
