Many people might not understand
That others need to have a helping hand.
They are not lazy and they are not shirking.
They are in fact sick and so not working.

For many people life is a breeze,
And anything done is done with ease.
Then from one day and to another,
Life's simple for you and for each other.

But on benefits some do rely,
And without them they will not get by.
And many people may not comprehend.
How bad it would be if they should end.

It is needed for them to stay alive.
Without them they shall not survive.
So look down and see what is within you,
