Forever...

They say that change is a part of life,

Alright,

If everything were to stay the same,

Forever,

I will be bored out of life,

But there are always some things,

That I want,

For eternity,

Like my love for chocolates, maybe,

Or my stupid childish desires and wishes,

Gazing at stars all night,

Or feeling the warmth of sun,

On me, as I let my imaginations run wild,

Time Will Tell

Is it really a new beginning?

Or just a start to another finish.

I suppose it could be a way to a means.

Or a means to an end.

Or maybe just an ending to another new beginning…

Only time will tell.

Next Fight

Next Fight

How easy is it for countries who are friends

To become enemies and go to war?

Like Britain and Argentina in the 80s

Argentina bought British warships

Their crews trained here in 81

But in 82 they invaded the Falklands

We were at war and we won that war

But hundreds on both sides were killed

This is one example of conflict

It can and will happen again

Adjusting to Change - Anxiety

hurting, melting, head caving
my head so broke inside
trying to hold it together
but i feel so far from fine

suffocating, shaking, heart racing
my body responds in fear
trying to reason with myself
though it doesn't help it clear

aching, receding, soul's numbing
my mind is shutting off
trying to hold onto reality
but i feel so very lost

falling, stalling, chest pounding
my soul'...

Speak for the Trees

tears fall from the tips of leaves,
no longer heaving but finally at peace,
no longer a place for relief,
no longer bending to the constant breeze,
no longer kept afloat meandering rivers,
no longer subject to raging fires,
no longer a victim to defeat.

tides no longer pulling at the heart,
stars no longer hovering above,
no longer tormented to be part of the world
that casts...

The Season of Changes

Every Autumn fills
with browns and reds,
yellows and oranges;

Sweeping leaves
and a steady wind
blowing through trees.

Halloween decorations,
candy corn, and costume trials
as little ones prepare

for changes in the air.
Days lead up to celebrating
another trip around the sun,

yet this season is another reminder
of all those years ago
when we lost you.

Years collect dust ri...

March 2018 Collage Poem: Changes

Poetry in unusual places

Yarn-bombing red as a spaniel

Line of poetry clutters in clusters

Faeries and Diddymen, aliens and witches

We transcend to rainbows when we die

Cold coffee cup clocks stuck at half-past six

The witch her face disfigured

Better methinks burnt at stake.

Lost in the past watching swallows flying north in spring

Swallows in blue s...
