Chill spreads through the land,
Branches bare, skies hold their breath,
Snow's touch soon to come.


Frost whispers softly,
Bare earth awaits its white cloak,
Winter’s gift unfolds.


In twilight’s quiet,
Hope stirs with each frosty breath,
Snowfall's gentle kiss.


Trees reach silent arms,
Night's first flake drifts to the ground,
World awakens bright.

Catch my rhythm baby

Let me pound you to the beats of our hearts till our souls get lost

Lets find them in each others eyes

Give me something to play with somewhere to start

Tell me where you want me to finish

That climax we been chasing is within our reach

This poem follows from my earlier work "Wet", set in the city of Cairns, Far North Queensland. Having reached the place, the next challenge is to figure out how to survive in the prevailing weather conditions: 100 percent humidity and massive daily rainfall. Air conditioning helps, somewhat.

Summer was the waiting for the Wet:

On Water Street, old Queenslanders

from incessant heat

Drizzle gently falling

on freshly wet street

Feel is overwhelming

for indolence to set

With drop in mercury

and in rain to get wet

Odd for time of year

coming event it tells

Rains not lot farther

quelling of arid spells

Sprung as a surprise

catching all unaware

Speeding all measure...

Another there to relate to

and walk  distances along

Bond in sort of perpetuity

till  infinitum which extends

Joyous in times favorable

 supportive in nasty bends

Tolerant of most nuances

offering emotional bind

Forever whetting intellect

as stimulus for the mind
