Us poets can wax lyrical Danny but we won't change the world. My opinion? Things will only be changed by a mass movement of people led by a strong leader to force politicians in doing the will of the people. A la Martin Luther King

The root cause of all this is greed and greed rules the world. We seem to have been born with a greed gene.

Maybe the science techs can now cut this out?

What's that Donald? You gives heap of cash to greed-machine development?

Also to the gun lobby?

Gosh Danny, how silly of me. Seems I should forget this greed-gene-removal idea of mine. Everything might fall apart......

A well-said ending Keith....

Games played by generals sipping whiskeys in cosy comfort while young boy pawns get killed. Bring in the next wave of pawns folks. Plenty more from where they came from....Onward and upward.

I rarely swear in anger but what a fucking waste.....

However, defence from an agressor requires a different set of thinking. And not all generals are drinking whiskey while their troops are getting killed. Some are fighting alongside them.

Despite all this war is a futile waste.

Cause? Greed. Greed rules the world. I think humans are born with a greed gene.

Sadly......

Maybe science can now remove this gene?

Question? Do the powers that be want to?

I'm getting sidetracked here...sorry Keith

Do the rich (greedy?) want their greed gene removed from their future progeny? Would Trump?

Of course not Don. Who provides the money for gene research, politics, greed-machine research?.....

Risking limb and life
Fighting nature's fury, wrath
Licking flames were rife

Battling in the heat, the haze
Humans at their best
Sixty homes razed to the ground
Embers meant no rest

One person died from nature's wrath
Tried to save his home
Would you do likewise? stay? defend?

Let's end on a lighter note:

I've had a peek at Sunday
While you were fast asleep
Nothing brilliant's happened
No need to even weep

Trumpy's still in power
Senate find no fault

I met mine way back when Philipos brought a bunch of them on a Bus Tour of WOL looking for mates. We hit it off on first sight. Not sure if any of the others scored. The bus was heading back to Mt Olympus I'm told.

I was brought up suddenly by the last line.

As long as we continue to distance ourselves from discussing mental health issues young people (mainly men as you say) will continue to suicide.....

Eth?...Is the LMS Theme Park and rollercoaster real?....

I see it over the fence with my own eyes. Do, Po and Ruth wave to me. Driver Don can't cos he driving and must have eyes to front.

Some people are saying it doesn't exist and I'm hallucinating.....

Gosh that's a big word luv....

Miss Bethel taught me it......she was a nice teacher...taught me to count to five on my fingers too.....

Now you mention it Bert some are saying you and I don't exist......

They got a nerve Eth........

We should complain.....where's our birth certificates Eth?.......

Roller coasters ready to drive me crazy

Journey would be safe With Donny Doc near
None apple I eat, Doc shall i near me keep
Enjoying the rides in futuristic theme park
Christmas pud was delicious, but didn't eat much
For i was preparing my stomach for a bigger meal
Where with buns we get doughnuts free
Lemme know the time when the coaster i need climb

Riff raffs are struggling bitter cold days

No park cops required forever more
As safety starts at the theme parks door

Likes this. Think that we ourselves have spoilt xmas for many by allowing It to become so commercialised. Even without believing It can still be Happy spending time with family or Friends, eating different food, having free time etc. jennifer
