Since letting it be known that my search for quality toilet poets just turned up shitty work I have had 'hopefuls' queuing up at my door longing to be invited to the Like-Minders Theme Park to present their work. (bit like open mic a la LMS). I have had a quick skim. Some possibilities there.

Unfortunately, the work of these toilet poet hopefuls, not being WOL members, only Like-Minders will have the opportunity of hearing them (off-site so to speak). Why not join us? Our Toilet is also available to Members when we stop to hear these poets.....such is the power of their work. Only the best for LMS.

If you'd like to find out more about the Like-Minders Society please contact me. We are a group of WOL poets based on having fun riding our rollercoaster around a Theme Park fairground to stops of offbeat poetical interest. We will give you a good time.

Do we honesty believe that everything made in China or any third world country is ethically produced? On the other hand it produces employment where none would be available if we insisted on western standards.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving that lovely lyric, John. "For all the love you've left behind, you can have mine" is my favorite line in the song. What is really strange about this poem and that song, is I stumbled upon the song, wrote this poem, and titled it the same as the song, "Call It Dreaming" which I later discovered is the title of your poem! To avoid confusion, I changed the title to God Rays, which I think also works. When I first realized that swirling loop of like-minded writing, it felt like being in an episode of the Twilight Zone, but it was kind of cool being on the same wavelength as one of my favorite poets.

May the poetry gods continue to bless our WOL family with kindred spirit connections and inspiration! ?

I, too, miss the spark and sparkle provided by Jacob, David, Rachel, Devon et al. We must remember that David (Wolfgar) did not choose to leave, he was expelled because he refused to censor his own words. Not only was he expelled but every word he contributed to our site was expunged. a draconian punishment indeed. Devon, Rachel et al left as an act of protest and of solidarity. Their absence is a grievous loss to WOL, as Tom has noted.

“What is freedom of expression? Without the freedom to offend, it ceases to exist.”

Where the sun isn't only sinking fast
Every night knows how long it's supposed to last
Where the time of our lives is all we have
And we get a chance to say
Before we ease away
For all the love you've left behind
You can have mine

I have said - clearly I would have thought - that denial is incorrect.
I have no argument with the existence of climate change but
sought to introduce some rational thinking in the wider spectrum.
The absence of any detailed information on the effects of the ongoing natural phenomena that occurs around the globe OR the
undoubted major influence of solar activity on the atmosphere is noteworthy, when NASA reports solar flares "the size of Texas"
erupting from our planet's essential life-giver. As for the subject of
the ozone hole, anyone being around then would know that it was
the precursor of today's "climate change" crusade, so I do not
understand its easy dismissal as somehow irrelevant. Perhaps
is also no recall of "methane" being a problem either?!
Cleaning up our act was mentioned by me and I stand by that
observation, not least because it includes accepted restraint on
whatever is serving to accelerate harmful effects on the atmosphere whether that be fossil fuels or other noxious
substances. Is that clear enough?
Scientists are not gods. least of all when there is NOT a consensus. The late David Bellamy incurred righteous wrath
(and he wasn't alone) for his concerns in his own later lifetime.
I will wait for answers to my questions previously posed - but
"answers came there none" seems to be the response. The
subject is indeed important...too important to be the servant
of zealots of whatever stripe.

Rob...luckily for most people their one true love does indeed live just around the corner metaphorically. Wouldn't it be tragic if one lived in Worcester and their ideal match lived in Ballybunion and they never got to meet?
