Agree with John Coopey, Compensation from the Romans for building walls, the Victorian criminal justice system for obliging people to be born in Australia, and the Germans for helping to produce some of their royal UK descendants. What did the Vikings do to us?

In past times there were many injustices and harsh punishment for white men also. People were hung for forgery, sent to debtors' prisons, or transported to Australia for even minor theft, and in Victorian days child prostitution was common, and the idea of inclusiveness was not exactly popular. People who couldn't afford medical treatment could die of their illness. That has changed now, so surely there is hope for the future for black people, if they aim for a better one? Low wages unfortunately are common for many people, but not automatic incarceration, surely?

Liked this one, but agree with Leon, can't see how the first verse fits in with the dominatrix.? Good read as always.

I must applaud the way you've packed a lot of great lines together with no padding which is an achievement in itself, but of course this poem is much more than that.
I don't normally go for repetative poems but this is good,
good, good.

This is beautiful Stephanie. S. Thank you. How decadent poetry is and how beautifully you have described that beautiful world of deliciousness that writers truly appreciate! Keep writing and smiling.

Thanks for the likes John, Greg, Stephen, Jujlie, Holden and Your Royal Poetess.
Blimey, Kevin. I leafletted one road and got nil result. Aren't people strange. It reminds me of the guy calling at a fish shop and asking for videos. We sell fish and chips, said the owner. Ok then, A fish called Wanda....
Thanks Leon for raising that. I charge according to the number of rings....
Quite so Stephen!

Thank you Jennifer, Stephen and Greg for the comments, I really appreciate you reading. A little bit of wisdom I'd pass on if I had children. Handy that you picked out that line Greg, as it helped me spot a typo. ?
Thanks also to Holden & Adam for the likes.

Thanks Jennifer, and yes, you've hit the nail on the head there, short term thinking by mostly self absorbed, vote chasing politicians, isn't a real solution, but for now, it's all we've got. I suppose we'll just have to hope the world does the right thing, and you never know, we just might.

They've been telling us for 20 years at least that this was going to happen unless we took steps to avoid it. Politicians only make short term decisions and not unpopular ones which will affect the economy in the near future. They only care about the votes. really well put.

Hi Greg
Sorry, only just seen your comment re Orison.
Yeh, I did wonder why you hadn't mentioned it - I had the opening and closing poems very much set in my mind for a long time, precisely because they bookend so very well. I had a real little epiphany as I played with that Newton's cradle, not long after my friend's death.
Oh give over, it's not too clever for you - it's easy, really ?
And thank you.

To each its own. Im speaking from the perspective of a black woman who witnessed and whom also was arrested and faced time to crime where she was the victim. I'm speaking on black people. If u want to hear something about ur generational adversities you should write about it
