Oh no Ray no! If tiredly wasn't a word before it certainly is now? Take 'em, bend 'em, break 'em, remake 'em. Main thing is, what we paint with 'em. ? ><>

Rather a sullen lonesome guy, a solitary non believer who found salvation in love. A tumultuous man who found his zen at the last place he expected! And at the moment he did that inner turmoil calmed. (A bit!)
He's an actual person too! Went to his wedding just the other day!
Thanks fish ?

Mae - The Etheree is a non rhyming form. Well done a good read. Each verse also stands alone so you can claim to have written 6 Etherees.
Think he was a glass half empty sort of Hermit? ?

This was triggered by seeing Grahame Sherwood's Haibun a few days back. This was a type of poetry I knew nothing about and am very grateful for the pointer. This combining of prose and poetry (prosimetric - new word for me) is intriguing and I'm quite exited about it, bit like a boy getting a first tryout with a new toy ? ><>

Belinda - you ask for comments but haven't made clear if they should be posted here on WOL or on your creative writing website.
Also, do you want comment on the sentiment expressed, the quality of the poetry, or something else? And are you prepared for complete honesty from commenters?

And I must say to this...
Why?
It happens one day
Totally out of the blue.
I came to realize
A poet inside grew.
But life as a poet
Is but a lonely fate.
Your heart on your sleeve
Will make you, sure bait.
So why do I continue
To put these words down?
For my yearning desire
In my soul is deep down.
Yes someone is reading.....?

Nice one! Cubism was totally innovative then, and very difficult to paint. I prefer the later style, like 'the Farmer's wife', 'Crying woman', 'The fishermen' etc.

Sure that's you in the vid John? Doesn't look anything like that WOL guy (giving praise to the sky?)
You now need to go to the next step and make a frypan guitar (despite a holey one - could add unique tonal qualities?).
You've already got a neck (the pan). Maybe some kitchen twine for strings? Then put this to good use by twanging a tuneful melody to help bonding back to Gert.
Sorted......

Thanks, Josie. And it works too! I gave it a run-out two nights ago. Excellent; it lets the smoke and wood-flame through the holes to impart a barbecue flavour.
Thanks also, Devon, for the Like.

Though Jack and Jill
would like to chill
in the end they will
go up the hill
Though Jack and Jill
always go up the hill
Don Matthews will
use his mad skill
to make them wheel
and roll downhill!
Isn't it about time
We upgraded that rhyme?
So do go on!
My dear friend Don!
Thank you ?

Megan - I have a problem with this. Write Out Loud is a poetry site and this is not a poem. It is one long monologue which goes on and on and on which after the first few lines I couldn't be bothered with.
Having said that I like your attitudes. Try new things, get out of your comfort zone. Just post poems. It is not a site for story telling.

Playing large Megan is fine but you have to play it correct otherwise people will not take any notice of you. E.g. don't post errors like this, and not long monologues on a poetry site.
You have good ideas - use them well......

Thank you dear Jason! I'm enjoying the process!
Dear Don! I tried to make it rhyme after I'd finished but it was very difficult to do it and at the same time keep it from losing its strength and meaning which came in that fateful epiphany-type manner. You don't mess with that! Plus, the verse with the song which is the only part that rhymes would have had no effect at all! Plus, plus, I'm not the awesome rhyner that is Don Matthews! ?
Thank you both! ?
Mae

Hi Lisa,
Congratulations on POTW!
A note of sadness here as well? The diner not managing to communicate the thing that's missing; eating lots alone, getting home alone? Is Happy Tuesday what the restaurant does to attract Tuesday traffic – good deal on burritos that night?
And "los muertos" – who are they and what do they signify?
For me, this is full of enigma and I really enjoyed it.
