The streets are full of joy gaiety and festive fun

As Santa loads up his sleigh for the Xmas run

Are you happy excited are you ready to burst

Give me a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie 

To fill my peckish tummy and quench my thirst

The snow is falling church bells are ringing

Choirs of angelic children are sweetly singing

Tap your toe clap your hands and stamp your feet

Time to sway and dance to the Christmas beat

 

Friends and family come together in harmony

A turkey is in the oven cooking nice and slow

The tree is sparkling in all its seasonal glory

Sat in front of a blazing fire and basking in its glow

Across the Yuletide world believers proclaim 

A time for giving caring and sharing let it show

Be grateful and truly thankful for what you have got

For those who are in need show a little compassion

There but for the grace of your maker go you

Peace and goodwill to all is always in fashion
