Stuart,
Excellent rhyming indeed and the content is one which I believe is universally approved of. Yet when I watch the news on television I see refugees struggling in hostile situations. Recently we were all reminded of the holocaust so your poem strikes several cords. Well done and thank you

I recall with some affection the big selling poster of another attractive
young female in similar pose, but viewed from the rear. Cheeky!
I preferred to look at that than witness the vulgar behaviour of the
equally young J. McEnroe.

What's this? I am surprised Brian
No comment? sexy thigh?
Don't tell me you are past it?
Which leaves the question, why?
Perhaps you got in trouble
For commenting before
When paying bit of tennis
Got sidetracked, lost the score?
It's nice to see a bit of leg
On the tennis court
But comments need be careful
Not of offending sort
Which I know you wouldn't do.......

As with the content
As with Mum and Dad

The interest lies between the target itself (coin or occasion?) and the
semantics of English grammar.
My own reference tends to go with continuation of content or
its divergence via use or absence of a comma. For example
1. Comma added>divergence of subject matter
He was gregarious, garrulous, and fond of backing horses.
2. Comma absent>continuation of subject matter
He was gregarious, garrulous and fond of gossip.

I am a proud, yes proud I am
To live in Oxford Town
How dare the Royal British Mint
Let my compatriots down
They said tuff shit (gave us the flick)
We got no need for you
Despite us being specialists
In commas, use, how to
What's that?.....You've put Boris on the back again?.....
Serves you right.......

My dad said
"you must believe the Bible son"........
To which my mum would blindly nod......
But it doesn't make sense?......
He was a preacher.......
And I was at university......
Question everything they taught me......
No wonder I get into so much strife......
I should just conform......
Then everyone would be happy.....
(except me).......

There was never a demand for emojis. But some bright spark somewhere had a bathtub moment and invented them. And when they are out there and available they create their own demand. If I see text peppered with emojis I can't be bothered to pick my way through it.

English is the finest language in the world! If only we had copyrighted it instead of allowing the rest of the world to use it free of charge. We could have been earning billions in royalties.

The English language is certainly not easy to grasp as it seems
to possess no logical consistency.
As lyricist Ira Gershwin famously wrote about pronuncing either and eyether; neither and nyether (my emphasis via spelling) - it is often
confusing, even to the natives!
Give me your dough
But not your doe
But don't think enough
Should rhyme although
Could that last word be althuff?
(Is that plain enuff for you to see
when not referring to a yew-named tree?!) ?
In short -
The English language offers a profusion
Of ways to fall prey (so pray!) to confusion!
