the buds of late spring
open and tentative
unflex their pods
like prayers unseen.
they touch moonlight
brushing in the occident
like dreams,
fleeting moments where
the impossible is made real.
reminds me of someone that dies
every night; a real Cinderella story
that refuses to settle on an end.
instead, we recycle those old sores

Cinderella
To have a fairy godmother must be rather cool
Especially if your stepsisters are nasty, brash and cruel
But I think Cinderella's fairy must have been a fool, 'cos
"Make sure you leave by midnight" is a silly sort of rule
Well I'm not one who cares to judge, cast aspersions or disparage
But while I'm on the subject - let's talk about that carriage
Again there's proof that her god-fairy was...

the inner recesses of our awareness.
I love the wee and trippy hours of the
after midnight when the glass slipper
lay glimmering aloof in the moonlight
and the weary dreamer sets some
ink of thoughts onto the parchment
of a woozy head - too...
