Thank you Shifa! This video inspired the poem. I love when art is posthumously released and the creator walks among us again.

A simplistic yet masterful blend of both bleakness and color. Love the contrast!
P.S. I remember listening to this song for the first time on Parks and Recreation (no idea why I hadn't been aware of it before) and was instantly smitten by it. Excellent song choice!

Thanks for the interview, Mark - and thanks for the poem, too. It will resonate with a lot of us as we ponder returning to live venues.

Imagination lives within us alive
it is our recreation for us to see
In it we achieve the impossible
and prompt the probable
It is only for us to see

I think that it's brilliant, an brave to write and post poetry in a second language.
WOL should be a safe place to post such works. Positive feedback is always appreciated.
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.
I think that for someone to pick up on a simple typo, and mock is unfair. As you say, we couldn't write a single word in your first language.
Thanks for posting
Cheers Kevin
Ps I think it should read " hell knows no fury" (no apostrophe in hell and only one r in fury)

Hell-knows-not fury.
I wanted to use compound adjective instead of the expression hell knows no fury. It was deliberate as per poetic license.
Be specific in your comment.
Literary competence is required to give a comment. Simply knowing language doesn't suffice.
I did get a positive feedback from readers who got the gist in other blogs like allpoetry.
"Rhymin Pearl - A well written poem indeed I enjoyed the reading of it ?. Keep going and thanks for sharing"
I write poems in the language to be acquired.Hence I outsmart you as you could not write a single poem in my language even if allowed to toil the rest of your life.
Why is that your profile picture shows a loose mouth?

Lol!
Nothing can escape your vigilant eyes....hehehe....even I saw that tag.
I just google translated the page and copy pasted it. It's not making much sense when you read. Translation always spoils the beauty n gives another meaning all in itself....absurd at times n funny most of the times. I guess here as well something similar has happened.
These days I'm much drawn to japanese music, find it very soothing...I'll share a link....you'll enjoy it too. While exercising I play shaolin, or japanese exercise music, very energizing n relaxing....they have a strong blend of both in their music. Yin yang so completely blended.

She came by putting on a yellow suit
We had taken care of the heart
Eyes still slipping but
She was looking at her youth
Today we saw mango Surrey mango!
Lips are jammed by him
He has a sweet message in talk
Kiss me, that lip; So much exercise
Just kept kissing me so much
May I achieve my place!
Today we saw mango Surrey mango!
A dagger in his eyes, kills him
See, I fill her eyes as much as eyes
If we get closer, fire and water rust
For the past few days, his shirt looks tight
She is not getting any color
Today we saw mango Surrey mango!
Made me young so that my heart goes out
Even if I close my eyes, my face comes out
Let the water get wet, then the innocent angel has
Kohinoor will fade, his youth will be like this
I salute his beautiful youth!
Today we saw mango Surrey mango!
Someone seems to have told a few days before that
Why are you hiding
Walks when she eats the serpent's force
Sometimes one night my house will be inhabited
The whole night will do its beauty

My dad died of pancreatic cancer when he was 49, fifty years ago. He was a smoker so it could be argued that he'd caused it, or at least contributed to it. The ones I feel sorry for are those who have lead a completely blameless life and still get it.
Hardly knew my dad but still miss him

Thank you very much Keith, Paul, Stephen, Cathy, Trevor, Shifa, Julie.
Keith Douglas, a tank commander and poet, who fought the Nazis in north Africa, died in 1944 aged 24. He instructed us to:
"Remember me when I am dead and simplify me when I'm dead."
And I suppose that is all history is: a simplification of the myriad and contradictory forces that go to make up the lived reality of the past.

Lesroy returns to the "200 years ago" theme.
Of course, he will know that values given to human life were
considerably different then. Here in England, a child could be
hanged (or transported for life) for stealing a loaf of bread.
Men could be kidnapped off the street without any recourse for
service in His Majesty's navy by the "Press Gangs". Ordinary
people endured a short diseased hand-to-mouth existence with no vote or other legal way of challenging the situation then. Life was,
indeed, very different. During these wretched times the practice
of slavery existed until its abolition by Parliament and the latter's
enforcement on the high seas by the Navy, while other nations
continued with it: on record in North Africa even very recently.
For some, old habits seem hard to break but the world moves
on, despite such egregious aberrations. .

Penultimate= next to last or second to last
(Nice!)?.. literal/figurative.. depends
Someone who says that all color lives matter... obviously does not get it..., because all lives matter, obviously.. thats the point!?
Was true 200 years ago just as it is true now.
Thank you Jennifer.. but we (including you) do not have to be ,,, very mild,, and ordinary.. I won't even comment on the last few words you wrote.
