APPLE
A poem is
like an apple
its small
compact
and is healthy for
your mind and spirit
a poem snaps
when you bite into it
you can roll it around
on your tongue
chew on it lovingly
it leaves a pleasant
aftertaste.

When the pie is opened, it bursts with such meaning,
Now isn't that a dainty dish to set before a king?
