In this den of detachment 

It is so calm

In this cave of carelessness 

Brick walls built mighty and fine

To protect your world 

From colliding with mine

That it is stark and dark

I tried pristine,

I was no good at it

I’m not neat within

I’m raw, like an egg

It’s not pretty to have a cracked head

As inanimate and detached as my wooden bed

Painful,

Ugly,
