Consumed
“No mere human cannot stand in a fire and not be consumed.” ~ Christabel LaMotte
Consume the news,
be confused, sing the blues, blow a fuse.
Consume potions, from drugs to Netflix,
get lost in the Matrix.
Consume pornography,
french-kiss misogyny.
Consume social media,
group-think Expedia, personal-connection anemia.
Consume nature,
become one with the savior.

The Soul of Man
The Soul of Man
A small piece of prose for my moral upliftment and self-edification.
Imagine thinking for a moment there is something we do not have; we do not know what it is, we believe it exists yet we do not have it.
So…
Not feeling it, not sensing it increases our desire and urge to seek it out and have it.
To obtain it as if it is an object, an item that we can hold in the palm of o...

A message to a friend
After typing this pm below I thought I would post it here for all to read
It is NOT poetry, it is just what I firmly believe to be the truth...
Hi ******** yes
We forget how grand it is.
WE also ******* do not always comprehend how much a single press upon a key can destroy a person and indeed now a whole nation.... Fuck maybe even the whole of humanity's existence.
With the p...

This Is Capitalism
We live in a society of sanitized brutality.
Austerity increasing exponential wealth disparity, despairing for community.
Who has put a price on life to ration out a tiny slice,
and grip us in their vice, disguised as moral order righteousness?
Pretenders to the throne, to throw us only scraps and bones.
The corporations profit all by raised invoice and taxes slashed,
as ...

Beyond the neon sign
Beyond the neon sign
The blind man saw with his heart so pure
what was blind to the sighted, so obscured
The razzle dazzle of our world so bright
Hides the truth from us all, in its blinding light

Christmas Is Ridiculous
christmas is ridiculous
a frenzy of indoctrination
sentimental propaganda
pressure to participate
unrealistic expectations
inculcated in the kids
while parents go insane
it goes against the grain to be
so busy at this time of year
we should be curled up by the fire
not fucking running round so wired
to buy this tat that no one needs
sanctifying endless greed

Consumerism
Consumerism
Breed from capitalism
Keeping man trapped in a material prison
With people, friend or foe
We can never truly know
All The Secrets that they have hidden
So we bury our love in silicon and plastic
Stuck in a rut, don't know how to get past it
this leads to a disease of unspeakable nature
Stabbing friends in the back for a piece of that paper
Nobody cares about the children in...

Let Me Out, Let Me In
We have trapped the world in windows,
Picture frames, mirrors vexed with vanity.
The wind blows slack.
Slates roll off rooves in protest.
Branches crack the panes,
Let me out, let me in.
The sun pierces film;
Shifts the night;
Joins forces with the plight
Of street lamps.
Bouncers rays the lasers from their shards,
Beat the rain like caged anima...

Confessions Of A Self-Berating Splurger - A seasonal ditty
I know I’ve got a lot of stuff and no, I don’t need much more.
I know advertising’s full of guff and persuasion is what it’s for.
I know others needs are greater, but too often I forget
As I’m a self-berating splurger, oft wracked with deep regret.
No matter if you’re measuring in common, pounds or pence,
Too often it would seem that we have more money than sense.
I kno...
