Did you have a near-death-experience here?
Very interesting with a clear sense of danger in these words.

Hi Daniel
Thanks for your comments on tall tales. I can remember many moons ago when there would always be somebody older and apparently wiser in the pub dispensing words of wisdom or tales of what they had or hadn't done. just hoping I haven't got there ....yet

Hi Preeti, '
''How kind the rain
to tiptoe
down
my window pane...''
''How kind the breeze
to whisper
past...'' this is sweet.

Glad you liked it Preeti.
The "Squaw" thought Hawkeye was 'fan-dabi-dozi' :)
...and she was a bit promiscious in real life. (Allegedly) ;)
Thank you.

I do like this sort of controlled absurdity!
How about a shorter title? say - "A Handle On Kent"?
(Using the phrase meaning "to manage").
Cheers.

Carloline Riley has sent me an e-mail saying how much she enjoyed last week.
She also said anyone in the group who wants her to use their poem can e-mail it to her.
I have asked for details of the website our poems might go on.

Hello Sian,
many thanks for your very flattering comments.
I don't know about you but I am finding writing particularly harder as time goes by.
I write monthly for a living and it seems to drain something out of me, leaving little left for creative work.
When I am inspired it pours out but the waiting is unbearable.
thank you once again and KEEP WRITING
Graham

Ha! "truth junky"...we should start using that expression in everyday lingo when referring to someone who is 100% genuine plus generally bad-ass. I love it, Natalie!

Fair enough, T.C. But could it be that the further north you are, the more you are "involved"? As for the Pistorious trial -
surely a prime case of the media making hay
while the sun shines. Priorities all gone to pot in the much abused "public interest".

Thx Shirley-Anne,
That in essence was what I was hoping for, so it's good to know it has come across like that.
Lovely to hear you read last night at the Baum (great poetry nights). Maybe next time we'll get chance to chat. With a bit of luck me and Nat will be at the Ring O Bells.
Best of
Chris

Would love to know what titles you would give your new poetry? (Untitled) unless that was your intention. They are both very enjoyable indeed.

Very clever and inspired line here;
'Making Gospel so the sheep can bleat' and also the finish 'There is someone there'... Lord/Shepherd etc
Great to see you back Jean-Lucy.

Hello Susan,
Welcome to Write Out Loud, we hope you have a good time exploring the site. We're really looking forward to reading some of your work and I know that you’ll get a warm welcome from the other WOL-ers too.
Thanks for uploading a picture of yourself, it’s really good to see what our fellow poets look like.
Have a good browse around, there’s work here on virtually any subject and there’s always lots going on. If you have the time to make some comments about the work of other poets please feel free to do so, it’s often the best way to get some constructive feedback about your own work too.
If you experience any technical problems there’s usually somebody who’ll help you out so just ask and someone will get back to you reasonably swiftly.
WOL is a friendly, creative and unassuming place, so welcome from all of us once again.
Graham @ the Write Out Loud Team.

I was just introduced to your poetry through "Into the Bardo". Wow! You are an amazing person, my sorrows were uplifted simply by your words. When one is struggling with the pain and suffering from a deep injustice your words match those feelings and brought me comfort!
May you be blessed to continue your good work and please keep informed when there is any way that we can help!
I am struggling to make a connection myself between injustice and hope right now, so I am looking forward to your new project.

Hello Cynthia.. I enjoyed your 'to plumb the depths ' poem .. unfortunately most humans aren't self-analytical and just plumb the depths .. it only makes sense if you can be brought to tears by life - and stop.
