1000 Letters

I’ve written you 1000 letters

I’ve waited for you 365 days

I’ve prayed to God a million prayers

But I realized now  it is all insane

I realize now it was all in vain

I get scared to think of no longer loving you

I get so scared that I pray for another way

I pray that God makes me see that everything’s ok

Love isn’t forever

Love doesn’t always stay

Old Flames

Shakespeare's sonnets will live forever

Wordsworth's words shall persevere

Your missives weren't so fortunate

And it won't be me that sheds a tear

Your letters are but sad ashes now

They'll not be a permanent reminder

A black and white record of passion

When I swore you couldn't be kinder

Your writing was almost compulsive

You needed to get it all off your ches...

Bottled Letters

It presents gravels before my feet,

The sea

When it meets the sand,

Holding my longing gaze as I stand

Atop coffined treasures

And pebbles filled with flints made from memories,

That weigh my slippers

Down to this deserted beach.

Myriad secrets encaged in their bottle shaped ampoules

Float aimlessly like vagabonds do.

Imprisoned in cells of reminiscence,

They await...

Letters in Wartime

Letters in Wartime
Words on paper
Nothing more
Telling the story of a soldier
Or airman or sailor
Letters from the front
Sent home
To a sweetheart
Or family
First read by the censor
Telling of longing to see you
And hardship in battle
Seen thru with determination
And a love of country
Fighting for them
The loved ones
Far from where
He is stationed
Saying about his mates
Some wh...

Letters

Those love letters from the seventies

I could not bear to read again

and could not bear to throw

Those airmail forms

those tortured lonely twelve page laments

that I read and read so many times

in my cabin off Cape Town,

in Melbourne and Sydney:

So many words

So  much love

But in the end

They were just ash

And I scattered them

Ashes to her ashe...

Dear Bob Dylan

"Dear Bob Dylan is a collection of letters written over a ten year span. The letters encompass a literary endeavor by the author as a means to hone her voice without boundaries, to express all that is insoluble and alive in her life and like any philosophy, lend to a new perspective for friends, fans and critics alike."

I am thrilled to announce the publication of Dear Bob Dylan.  Currently ava...

The Communications Trilogy Pt:2 Telegram

Hello again

The time has come to upload part two of my Communications Trilogy. This time the subject of my misery is the dreaded letter. A source of comfort and hope to some and a source of pain and anguish for others. As you may have guessed from part 1 I'm writing from the perspective of the pain and anguish people.

 I hope you enjoy it.
