Without a mentor, precious time is lost,
pursuing dreams with spunk and energy,
encountering delays, defeats and cost--
most times alone devoid of synergy.
But with a mentor, showing how it's done,

Wears his heart
on stained sleeve,
makes paupers feel
like royalty.
Waxes poetic about
life, love, and history

To the best mentor he ever had.
Once there was a boy
Full of misery and no joy
Given up hopes a long by
Just in a stand still when she crossed by.

I wonder how this generation,
fresh out of school,
is going to make it in the work world.
There are exceptions of course,
but most are selfish sloths.
They have been coddled,
argue Google makes them brighter,
than professionals with a lifetime of experience.
Their attention span is shorter than an egg timer.
You have to repeat instructions to them.
