Yes, there are successful people who look down upon their friends and humiliate them, mock and make fun. Success get in their heads, financial success through whatever means, they start showing off and disgracing someone still suffering and under tests and trials. Just because they are fortunate can that mean they can ruin and run a person's life who isn't yet successful...aren't they frenemies?
There's a difference between people who are happy for you and people who only hang around you to snatch away your happiness and put them on their platter.
Better be cautious than sorry.
Thought provoking!

John, you're coming at it from the wrong direction: they start on the ceiling, release their hold, then leisurely right themselves whilst dropping before flying down to infect your bacon and eggs.

In my house we direct waste water down the plughole, and shit into the soil pipe. Still, each to his own.
Good observation Ray.

And to have ' trusted ' it was exactly the right thing to do-absolutely!
"Trundle " now there's an almost medieval word-nearly as antiquated
as the word 'Ashcart' ( don't laugh ) as some of my neighbour's use
when announcing the arrival of the ' sanitation vehicle ' .
I really loved the open-hearted honesty in this little story/poem. But to see my all-time heroine crying-no way!- it would also send me diving into the pillows! ? hope both you and the ' trundler ' keep safe until we are free to roam once more-yeah right! ?
regards
LS

To see the world, you need
Not only an eye
But a beautiful heart to admire
And through this work of yours
I realize you possess them both
So don't stop to explore
The mystery of this whole.

Absolutely true, Anmolpreet Kaur, the success has no meaning if not surrounded by the near ones. Unfortunately, sometimes, success cheats us an either way. Thanks for the comment and hitting the like.

My heart goes out to you and anybody else who has found themselves in being fatherless. Sadly we live in a society that great undervalues what it means to be a parent not least a father.
Thank you for being brave enough to share this.
Blessings to you

The message is loud and clear - a reminder of what can happen
in human history if we are not eternally vigilant and aware.
When the barbarians are bringing darkness at the gate, we must
hold high the torch that brings light so that we might always find
the way to freedom - in thought and life itself.

thanks for the 'likes' and comments - no Po I didn't see it on Facebook - I was using imagination to project some of Facebook's traits onto this topic - particularly to highlight 'All - whatever - matters' is not a useful position when a specific aim is required ?
I appreciate your comments ?

Thanks Jennifer as always. I was thinking of Boris with the tuck shop, I always the title was something rather naughty - monocles and sock suspenders etc. I think you can still buy it, although no longer in the ceramic pots, shame.

Pain subsides, memories live, lessons are learnt, experience gained making life enriching and wisdom increases.
To fall, be disappointed isn't all that bad, losing your faith in God is really bad.
This is sheer womenpower. Superwoman, phenomenal, wonderwoman and whatever you can say.
Strong write!
