Run Rabbit Run
On the farm, it's rabbit pie day
But the poor little rabbit didn't know that.
She missed the memo, too absorbed in gathering carrots
To think about the path she took home.
The farmer was out with his friends, laughing with a cigarette
Dangling from his lips. He was looking for the perfect morsel for his
Wicked pie when he saw the little rabbit snuffling around in the bushes.

Little Rabbit
Despite time moving quickly around it, the little bunny rabbit goes slow.
All the other little rabbits hop in time but this one falls behind.
No one knows it's there, no one really cares.
Feet so small they barely make a sound.
Inferior to the rest.
Although the sun lights the way, the finish line is still far away...
but the little rabbit carries on.

Snow Fields
The soft blown snow that fell five days ago
Crisp frozen now by these five frosty nights
Still blankets all the fields and moors to show
Where pheasant clattered off on noisy flights
While footfall of the lesser birds is scribed
Less deep; and here a small bank vole has run;
There passed red fox and rabbit side by side
Though time kept them apart and saved the one

Age four mum and her sister set one up
With hard work, love and courage
The biggest house my young eye's had seen
