Spectator? Participator? Instigator?

The old man sat on the terrace his eyes closed. The throbbing purr of the mini-digger sounded like some very large, contented lion. Rob the driver was telling Jake the plumber, who was in the trench, to saw through the large root from the acacia tree that was stopping the digger scooping out more trench. The old man opened his eyes and saw his friend Dave, owner of terrace and trench, holding out ...

Narcissistic Lullabies

In the great winter night,

Opened skies scream to the willowed avalanches,

Where the people die mourning their loved ones.

Leaves didn’t fall that afternoon in december,

Nor did the bodies strung up on the desert floor,

Sand seeps into wounds and makes the blind cry for their mothers,

Fashioned in a new way to see the world go round,

I opened fantasy and mirror alike...

SLOWLY, SPEEDILY TURNING

SLOWLY, SPEEDILY TURNING

All at once both slow and fast all at once. A sense of motion is awesome,

has anyone ever felt such a heady rush of speed

together with total slowness and lack of motion?

Let’s set off on our journey up to the hills,

we will arrive in seconds and in days…

here there are two speed vortices that we share at the same time, continuously.

Who an earth ...

EDGE 1

EDGE 1

Journey to a place that is the edge, edge of the ocean right here, right now.

Not sea, not land, edge of the ocean is where this is at,

on every landmass on planet earth, no exceptions.

Always in movement, in touch with the moon is the tide, on cliff, on beach.

A wetness attacking the dryness, now as it has before,

the story of a billion years before our eye...

Rifle and Violin

Song Against War

Helicopters were over us
Noise and fuss
Yesterday with orchestra
And today in battle
My life seems like a shuttle
The violin that was touching my neck
Became today a rifle
The tune of dancing and love
Just now became blood and pus
Noise and fuss
And...

GHOST DANCERS

GHOST DANCERS

Ghost dancing through the night so haunting and so mystical,

ghosts are all around you if you know where to look.

Mysterious ghost ships sail on dark eternal seas forever and ever.

Ghostly figures prance through the dark slender trees on a Winters’

moonlit night.

Maybe one day we too will be ghosts if we die in the right way

but now we can n...

Going Home

Cars bumper to bumper

Gridlock

Trucks, buses, coaches

Idling

Engine noises,

Reverbs.

People walking

Cell phones to ears

Hand in hand

Close together,

Plotting.

Women chatting

Buddies hugging

The traffic moves

Relief – freedom

Like a dam burst

Open

All travelling

Going in the same direction.

Home.
