It is against the law to ride an e-scooter on public roads !!
To buy an e-scooter can be tempting,
But the consequences you could be regreting.
You can buy one new or second hand,
But it can only be used on private land.
E-scooters are classed the same as cars ,
To be used on public roads they gain no stars.
They must be mot'd ,insured and comply with tax rates,
And illegal if they do not have proper number plates.
No signal abilities,no visible rear lights,
Definitely a danger to ride on dark nights.
Police can prosecute when riders cause distress, annoyance or alarm ,
And also have the powers to seize e-scooters to avoid causing serious harm .

Correct Hugh.
They are motor vehicles.
There is currently talk of pensioners being forced out of their cars, some in areas with no bus services, ostensibly for "safety" reasons.
Yet those morons, average age, 10-20 yrs old? ride at high speeds on pavements crowded with pedestrians with total impunity; I have to dodge them daily.
