Another of my 'end of the world' poems (Remove filter)
The End
I saw the cathedral today...but it had no face.
All its fine detail, had disappeared without a trace.
Looking like a canvas, waiting for stroke of brush.
People ran towards it, they all seemed in a rush.
I saw the Cathedral, on Liverpool's Hope Street.
Its identity now stolen, but still the people meet.
A rainbow struggled to be seen, in the sullen sky.
People wanted answers, there wasn't...
