Well - I did point out that maybe there was a reason for it being undiscovered! ;-)
Glad your exams went well, which uni are you off to? and what will you be doing when you get there?

Hi A.
I'm afraid that I am as cynical as Jessie. Not decrepit, but age has taught me that common sense doesn't apply any more, if it ever did.
Should we have a Minister for Common Sense in the Government?

many thanx for reading nicky well its a poem from the late 90s but relevant today. the kids are animals and what can i say? no discipline. look at the news. anyhow i dont writie much poetry anymore but the odd one when in the mood i do dark fiction/romance but people wanna see my old poems live or read them so i dont mind sharing my work, not at all. and i like to inspire people to write.

i saw the result of some young people the other week in town it involved the worst crimes going, so things are on the waydown, not up. if i havent put that poem here i will. youll emphathise with it.

i get asked to write happy work, i do at times. they should see my dark fiction, oh now that is my real love. my poems are like messing about lol.

and when the world tears itself to bits i wanna front row seat. i think the third world war is long over due lol. thanx fo reading, nick:)xx

Well, I won't be casting any spells tonight. I like this, and there is no backdoor slammin' in it. Sadness, loneliness and a bit of angst.

Steve as we are in ' Interesting times' 'I will therefore be brief' everyone seems to declare an 'amnisty' for themselves in their poetry and shake glum heads when challanged...AE your goodself and I (regaly) are exceptional in this regard. I apologise to anyone who I have forgotten.

Ta for your comment Steve: This also is a strange and not uncomfortably pleasant experience. The logic is like trying to jugle full milk bottles and when hearing the door- walking out-leaving behind a milky floor!...as for the typo's..............HOW DEAR YOU!

Hi John!
Actually, French was my first language with my mother until I started school...
I teach French and I am working on a Master's Degree in French/International Relations - graduate in May : )

I have always loved language/communication - also studied Italian and Spanish.

It is wonderful to speak/read/write more than one language - would love to see you post something in Turkish... with translation of course.

Hi john, thanks for your comments on 'Pearl Stitch', It is open to interpretation and it's been nice to see the different takes on it from murder, to an illicit love affair to the hiding of the knitting for fear of looking silly, haha.

The main thread, is a chilling thought, HE is death ( or representative of the death of something )suddenly, and the knitting is life, created and full of intricacies like that of the patterns, which is left unfinished or discarded.

Hope you still like it.
Nicky.

Thanks for your comments Steve on pearl stitch.
Glad you enjoyed the symbolic 'knitting' - something that is classed as mundane can symbolise creation and the ongoing intricacies of life that unfortunately can get cut short when death suddenly claims us and we leave so much unfinished. I did try and leave it open to interpretation, and fascinating to see different takes on it.

Really enjoyed your 'I'm not gay but......'

Take care.

Nicky.

And not one mention of Handbags Steve!! :-)

How much more refined to use the word as a weapon. I am sure a few fitting spells can be concocted. Frog, duck, donkey? which would you prefer to spend the weekend as? haha.

Love it. Very fitting. The 'witches of wolop' immortalised by your cunning pen. x
