Mighty Mite / Earwig
In March 1914 an earwig held up 600 tonnes of rail traffic at Hounslow Stationโฆ
Earwig / Mighty Mite
When everything came to a stop
The signal said nothing should go
The hustle and bustle of London life
Was forced to slow down in Hounslow
They checked every inch of the line
For buckles and cracks in the track
But as nothing was found on the great underground
Not a train could go out...
