GAVISCON
Gaviscon, oh Gaviscon
I will heed the doc's suggestion
When I suffer indigestion
I act upon
Advice on Gaviscon.
Gaviscon, oh Gaviscon
When your feel your stomach's burning
Then it's time that you were turning
To pin your hopes on
A spoon of Gaviscon
Gaviscon, oh Gaviscon
So to quell the pain of acid
And get your guts back to placid
It's odds-on
You'll reach for Gaviscon.
Gaviscon, oh Gaviscon
When I feel World War III brewing
I know for sure what I'll be doing
I soldier on
After I've had Gaviscon.
Gaviscon, oh Gaviscon
Antidote for mutton curry
Or my bowels are in a hurry
From bad champignons
Then I take Gaviscon.
Gaviscon, oh Gaviscon
Fearing gastro-enteritis
Or some other pain that's sent to blight us
That's whereupon
I swallow Gaviscon.
Gaviscon, oh Gaviscon
When you've got an upset tummy
And your stools are awful runny
Pray to St John
But don't forget your Gaviscon

Thanks for your thoughts, Rolph. My own take on it is this: there is a definite correlation between my eating sensibly and not needing it and eating like a pig when I do.
