Peter,
very nice karmic tide, whos karma? Knowledge of loving the most or being loved?Yes to know that you gave it your all, and loved and trusted and believed all words, and to be dashed after 13 hours of flight, no words needed, trust gone karma gained. what a prize! great poem!

Hi Pete, gripping stuff, yet sad reality and vividly described. I read somewhere that in the USA 13 billion prescriptions are issued each year, thats an average of one a week for every person in the country.
Frightening, but you've given an insight to it with this. I believe getting off them is worse than illegal drugs or alcohol, must be an absolute nightmare, well written Jeff

Although i really haven't a clue what you're trying to say in this one Antonionioni, i did get a strong image of red, fiery lava spilling out across a vast space in time. The desert of Arabia?
Somehow that doesn't fit but it was the first thing which sprouted into my very stupidly thick brain today.

Again, original thinking. Your creativity is bringing something new to the table.
"I don't understand". Is this not four words
if we count the contracted negation?!

Hi Tomas - not sure I have a style; certainly not one I could name! I have no idea what Standard Habbie means - it sounds like half a 'knock knock' joke! Regret I don't do any links - a bit like the chip-shop that doesn't cash cheques? But I see we write on similar topics so if I did - you would be there. (:o) Regards.

Hi Pete,
Very nice poem, I agree with the others. So many gutters and kerbs to hold hands with. The pavement always forgiving, except to females in pumps. Those neon cloud lips to chase after and kiss, the drunken eyes and constant crys, caused by problems in the minds eyes. Yep I like this poem, made me feel like I was on dope, and Im never on dope, good to have a contact high from your words at times!

Hi, Antonio
This one is on a lighter side, well written poem of yours. I could picture you listening to these noises from upstairs...Then the silence so you could take a look if she finally sleeps.
Wonderful memory, she is going to read your poems at latter stage of life. It is like a beautiful portrait from her childhood. Nice write!
Thank you,

hi Pete,
very nice poem. life and death are in a constant circle, and Im sure we all have in one life time or another been friends, sat in a bunker at war time with each other, been married, been parents to each other, you name it! Very exciting really,I figure it this way, I have known you a long time, but even longer then we have been alive, but even longer then forever, and this friendship will never end, as life never ends, we just get recycled, each life a lesson,ah the excitment of life, what a blessing to have more then one! great poem!

HI Pete,
You know its very NORMAL to feel depressed at times. Its part of life.PILLs are BAD.Self control rules. The side effects to most pills will curl your toes, upon reading, and cause cancer and God knows what down the road of life. Is it worth the trade? Is constant bliss and being numb, to lifes curve balls, worth the illnesses later in life? Mt Dad is 66, been on bipolar meds for the last, about 10 years, every few years the doeses go up, now he walks with a cain, he keeps falling down, the almighty doctors dont know why, but they know he needs those 20 pills a day.He is an experiment, in dosages of poison. great poem... natural is the best way.control foods and drinks read everything before you put it in your mouth, if you cant say the word its not natural, dont eat it.Im trying this now, it seems to help.take care

Hello, Philip
Your poem has deep spiritual base… I found your write very unique and special.
Thought provoking shows a destiny that we have ahead of us…
“Tied to a pure white dove, bourn to the apricot white tide
On Gods side
Floating above crimson tide
See me slide up the children’s slide
Inside a new body I now reside”
Beautiful work!
Thank you,
Zuzanna

thank you.
well you have seen the same thing as I
the idea of the poem was an antidote to days spent thinking about missing people or pets
a way of becoming more receptive if a loss occurs, in this way so getting over the pain
for example if someone passes over, the thought that they woulld wish you to love again even though that would hurt, now the pair are no longer together.
love after lost love
and also
the excitement of a new tide
never knowing what its oceanic arms have gone out and found
and what it puts at your feet
expecting nothing
for to be open and to forgive
to understand the passing
and to accept
with a knowledge you loved the best
then the Karmic prize
is automatic

Although i like the poem about the tree,
who really wants to be a table.
I think of my tree of life.
Although i like the sounds of a carpenter,
i wouldn't want to be his wife.
He might make me into a table.
So i thankyou for entertaining me,
but now i really must leave as i'm
in danger of becoming a table.
Or is it just a fable?

Hi Pete, I agree with Janet, a lot to this, will have to read it again!
Very spiritual in a way, and if Janet's right, it could explain why children remember things from a previous life up to say 5 year old?
Anyway, lovely words, which I also thought too for your 'bastion' poem, very mystical description I thought, cheers Jeff
PS thank for your comments and encouragement about my poem 'When will it pass' very much appreciated, see you soon Jeff

There's much more to this than meets the eye.
The last four lines say it all for me. Incoming tide brings incoming souls seeking a place to survive.
It has been said that as a soul leaves a human body before the heart stops beating, another soul can take its place. Scary thought. But might go some way to explaining why people suffer total amnesia after an accident.
Love Janet.xx

Hi Melissa, once again the rhythm comes through in your writing.
I've thought long and hard about this one and hope you don't mind my speaking what thoughts entered my mind.
I feel your walls are like the walls of Jericho.
Which makes me want to do 2 things. Either paint them white until ready to let them come tumbling down OR to tear it down and replace it with a blank canvas. Either of which can be used to paint pictures of what you want.
Canvas is more flexible and can be used as a curtain to be pulled around us when we need shelter but opened up to allow the light in.
Please feel free to remove this comment if it doesn't meet with your approval. I won't be offended. Lots of love and best wishes, Janet.xx
