A simply beautiful poem. I especially love the plea. It grabs hold of you and shakes you. I admire the way you write so powerfully, with just so few lines.

Hello, Phil
The point has been made quite strong especially when you mentioned the amount of medication you take!! Well, life is a battlefield but the main thing is - you never give up! Keep fighting it off. I am sure there are many years ahead of you and with the right directions from professional team from Health Division; you have many adventures still ahead of you… You have done wonderful job!
Thank you for sharing, I love your writes.
Warm Regards,
Zuzanna

Picking out profiles at random because i'm new to this site. I'm a spiritualist medium and healer first, writer second.
It seems prophetic that yours is the third one in a row i picked out which were all your last entries on my Birthday. Maybe i'll see you in Liverpool soon.

Yeah, Write Out Loud considered taking its open-floor poetry up there a couple of years ago but met the same response and struggled to find a venue (this was just tentative enquiries but we were 'offput').
I am sure there is scope to create a fringe to the fringe with all those talented people and all.
I did approach the Hay festival director and got VERY short shrift from him: If there is to be anything like that we will do it ourselves, thank you! The 'that' was spat.
If ever a festival needed a fringe it is Hay. Perhaps next year we will set up our own tent...
Thanks for this report Helen. Come on you poets, rise to the challenge!

Melon ball starter. Hmm!
Wkd blue as an aperitif.
Followed by 2 large scoops honeydew,
served up with lashings of squirty cream,
full length of a large, ripe, peeled banana.
p.s. i'll take a closer look at "Below the belt."

"HI Peter,Great poem, made me wonder if the poor chicken would want MON 863? Made by Monsanto, its a GMO that Monsanto has farmers growing all over the world. After 90 days rats that were feed it, had problems, blood stream anomalies that varied by sex, blood cell level changes and lymphosite problems, renal lesions, kidney problems. Now many a farmer and scientist would poo poo this information, just to make a $. Almost all the soy is GMO and has had roundup spliced into its DNA, so that the farmer can spray round up on the crop and not kill what he planted, just kill the weeds, that he used to pay people to pull up. From what I have read the word "Organic" is a big fat lie.I almost wanted to be anorexic and die once I read about Monsanto. Its tragic whats going on with the seeds. All chickens need to be free range, and should have "normal" seeds/foods to eat. So should humans. I vow to someday have a small farm where once again some chickens can hunt and peck, and be normal chickens. great poem, I should send you all the Monsanto papers I have. it would fire you up like a rocket!"
hey thanks!
THIS IS GREAT STUFF THAT YOU HAVE SAID.
Some good info there. Almost a poem as a reply.

Hi Estelle.
Welcome to WOL. Your comments came as a bit of a surprise. The thread that has developed between 'Tai' and me is unfortunate. He obviously has a passion for his work and considers any objective opinion as a criticism. His behaviour is typical of many artists who attempt to defend every comment that they make, instead of accepting that not everybody will have similar views on structure and content. I am not obsessed with just adjectives, as much as I do enjoy their company, I also enjoy other parts of language(s), including their phonetics.
In all this 'Tai' seems to forget that I actually enjoy his stuff to such an extent that I comment about it.
'Dazzo' is fine. I've been called a lot worse but I don't particular think that I get off on being a critic. Some people actually ask for my advice - so I give it to 'em.
