This is exceptional writing. Precise. But beautiful."Witnesses can tut and tsssk, queue to sign my page for free...Shout out loud that they've been there," I like what that alludes me to...and "The most liquid of loves now warm my bones." - brilliant. I'll top up my glass to that one.

What a gorgeous piece Andy;
"listen to the nervousness
of my every touch"

"leaves dancing all
over the pavement."

"limping over the shore
before stumbling
to a sudden stop."

"across a landscape
of random impulse"

I absolutely adore these lines
My only contention is with "rain falling down from the sky" The direction and point of origin seem redundant to me as rain can't do anything else unless its going sideways which then paints a different picture but other than that lovely images and a superb dreamy quality. Thanks for sharing your tenderness :) x

Hi Larisa - I think I've thought of a rzhepick!

"I'm fussy -
that's why I'm lonely"

"I'm not fussy -
that's why I'm happy!"

What do you think? I'd have to call mine a Foxerick I guess! I always enjoy yours. x

It depends who you're standing close to. There's nowt wrong with a good feel under the right circumstances. It's hard getting the right circumstances tho - a bit like waiting for Jupiter to line up with Saturn - or whatever planets it is that line up once in a blue moon. No jokes about Uranus please...

Being serious for a mo, you express well the anxieties many of us feel. Rejection can lead to a loss of trust and faith - so hard to get that back sometimes.

I can sense the anxiety in this. It made me laugh initially, but it also has a seriousness about it. I need to have a certain amount of personal space too. Feelings can make you crazy... I sometimes get so overwhelmed with feelings that I just have to withdraw and get away.

Thanks for your feedback John on "Writer's Block"
The poem isn't really about that unwanted phenomenon but rather a wounded and sore heart and therefore the fear of further pain becomes a block to future pleasure ;)

It made me laugh! I find it's often the attitude of people on any site, not just this, that is all about me me me and they don't give anything, except to curry favour, which isn't really giving, it's trying to take. It should be about the poems themselves but the way some people skim over lesser known people without commenting or encouraging (if it's deserved) is pretty nauseating.

I can't. I have too many clothes and my friends think I'm great. They wouldn't be my friends if they didn't :)
I'm very punctual though cos I see it as disrespectful to others not to be - so perhaps I'm not a total narcissist.
I can see elements in the poem that would be very objectionable in others - I can't see the motivation in writing such a poem though. I would just say let them get on with it - they're not ruining my life.

I was going to comment on the last poem you posted but it has gone now. I'd meant to come back to it when I had more time and thought that it had been buried by ten tons of.... as happens on here.... but I see that it has quite simply gone.

There was a lot of great imagery in it - parts of it were a bit repulsive though - the worming cold tongue and all... couldn't make my mind up whether it was old man with young girl or two old people - the female being a nicer person :)

Ho hum. It was different anyway. x
