You have a new fan, Neil.
I've only read three so far and I've enjoyed them all.
This one in particular with inspiring word-images like:
"sweet air flowers"
"the sky dreamers cloak"
"laundry of the sunlight"
"quench in a notebook"
As I said, inspiring...

'Head bowed', 'filled with shame' and the photo make this a less appealing subject for a poem to me. Your words however and the way you use them e.g. 'Your body full' are powerful and create a heavy and intimate atmosphere so well done. top writing for me. Winston

hi I should say thanks to all and thanks to the two people I captured in words, see I was the passer--by, and they were such a lovely scene that a poem came on (that's why the passer-by stopped to say hi while she grabbed pen and pad from bag, and then I moved on but kept looking back watching as the finally made it, held hands walked down to the traffic lights crossed the street, squeezed each other and yup, she smelled the rose...and it WAS a rose a yellowish one...lovely scene. I am not a voyeur I am a poet and therefore I love the beauty in life.

I must say they were pleasant to me when I stopped, considering. Maybe they thought I'd report the theft of a rose from the public park, or maybe they were too loved up to even care!

I have performed this peace-so not me- and always people get joy from it; so i do it..ahhh the sacrifice we make for art!!!!!ha ha

of me and my boyfriend.' I remember feeling like that. Lovely poem,

you still have a typo though line 4 first verse 'after' I think it should read, not that it spoils a lovely poem.

Brilliant, not just me who gets stressed over tax then..... the thing is though the poor old Sparrow is a species under pressure, I think maybe one of the reasons is the disappearing hedge rows. Great idea for a poem.

I tried to look on that site it wouldn't let me, maybe my browser. I avoid face book twitter and such like, since I found my picture along with my name published fairly high on the Google search engine, I like to try and hang on to some degree probably of illusive anonminity. As for my Sword', ha ha..... it truly is a Prince amongst lesser ones...;-))Luv TC XX

Hi John - yes, I sometimes feel that I often just say "I really liked this" in my comments, and it is good to get more complex reactions, and I have been lucky so far. Maybe like me, many feel "if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all" which really makes the comments nothing but a back-slapping excercise. For me, two things. 1) I am not an experienced critic and feel that commenting negatively is not my place. I've only been writing for a short time, maybe I'll get more confident about this, but I am sure that is how others feel too. 2) A lot of us use poetry to tell the world (or at least WOL!) our innermost feelings/experiences, and this is quite brave for some people (though it doesn't bother me really). And so some of us are delicate little flowers, and may well get upset by comments. It is a hard one! xx
