The dodoitsu is a Japanese form, 7-7-7-5-5 syllables and no rhyme scheme (but I added one for my own nefarious purposes) . They are usually wryly comical and connected with love or work. This is my first attempt at one.

Though often I wonder, is it unrequited love that I am chasing? 

 

But I would risk it all for you —  even spend an eternity waiting.

 

Side note: 愛 means love in Japanese
